Default Just Starting out Never did it in Sac!

    Hi All,

I am 23 yrs. old and I am in Sacramento area. I am just 30lbs away from my goal. And want to get into stripping. I have been doing my homework and getting my hands on just about everything I can to get to know the business more. I went a few clubs here and seen the women there and what they do there.

My question is I never danced before. So I am taking a belly dancing class and doing Carmen Electra's Striptease videos. I don't know what costumes I should look into, shoes, make up, hair pieces, tanning. I am very fair skin so if you like I can send out my photo its just a head shot so you guys can tell me if I have a chance or not. I am just trying to get to know more dancers and get all the help and advice I can. So any would be great!

    Thanks,
    mj

There a bunch of websites that have lots of stripper clothes..although since you have never danced before I would look into finding some stores so you can dress up in stuff and try it on.
I dont know if it is like this for all dancers....but I remember when I first started dancing a girl in the club I worked at told me not to go out and spend a lot of money on stripper clothes because in the begining I was just feeling my way around and it would take me time to develop my own style. OF course I didnt listen and I spent a bunch of money on CRAP...my style has changed and I wouldnt be caught dead in any of the stuff I orignally bought.
SO I would say get two or three outfits to start till you develop your own style.
As for dancing....it just takes practice. Again everyone in the begining kind of just copies off what they see other girls doing until you get your own style.
Most of being a new dancer is trial and error...you learn as you go.
    Good luck....

My comments I spose are just copied suggestions... but they're good. I'd say go to an adult store & get an outfit or two from there... Um, I'm not for sure if you'd have one out there... but it's called Priscilla's (hope I spelled that right). It has A LOT of cute clothing, shoes, makeup, and more items (sex toys, swings, etc etc). Dancers get 10% off too! Maybe a lil bit more, but I'm not for sure. And on dancing...go slow! You don't have to keep the beat with the music...maybe every other beat or so often... but slower (usually) = sexier. Don't get me wrong, you can so fast sometimes... but I found out that going slower works... just copy some of the moves that the other dancers do. You'll soon find your niche that makes you stand out - mine's that I use the pole. The other dancers in my club usually stick to floorwork or just dancing sexily on stage without touching the ground or pole too much. They may swing around it once every 2/3 times they're doing their set... but yeah I just play with the pole a g'bit...it's my friend. I'm working on swinging upside down right now. Anywho - i'm babbling, G'LUCK!

I don't know but I'm just starting out too...

I had to loose weight too (but I'm auditioning May 1st) I've been tanning 1 time a week (I look healthier and cuter when I tan...) I've been practicing lap dances on my b/f... And I put together a few CDs that have each 3 songs on it (where i'm auditioning the girls get to dance to 3 songs)... I set up my room kinda like the stage looks... and I opened my closet door so it's the pole, and i have 4 mirrors in my room, so those are the guys i'm dancing for... Anyway I've just been getting used to dancing in the shoes... (I can't wait to dance for a guy and not the freakin mirror!)

I ordered the Carmen Electra tape... I haven't gotten it yet though....

Buy shoes though... b/c you definetely need to get used to them... i'm super short, so i've been in heels my whole life, and the first time i tried to give my boyfriend a lap dance w/ those huge shoes on i fell like 5 times!!!

And makeup... the girls at the club i want to work out, makeup didn't seem to be a big deal... they were wearing the style of makeup the same as they would if they were going out on a friday night... ya know...

    Well good luck
