Default Bad night I feel really sad!

God tonight was so depressing. We had so many girls and way not enough guys. The guys that were there sat there all night. I think I left with 170. I'm worried about all my bills and shit and I just get really worried that tommarow and the next day is going to be the same crap as tonight. It could be worse but I really need money for school UGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!

Well here I am, up late not getting much sleep cause I'm all excited about getting new furniture delivered tomorrow, and I see that you're upset over your bad night!
Everybody has bad nights, for one reason or another.
We just have to remember that tomorrow is another day! Chin up!

    Hey hun,
I had posted about a terrible night a few months back as well. Remember its not allllways a good night. But dont let it get you down. (yeah, easier said than done)
I remember that night I made pititful money (by my club standards) and it just made me think, 'Oh my god, did I lose it? Will I pick back up?" But in reality it will. Believe that!
One bad night can ruin a week for ya in the sense of your mental state. Your gonna wonder what you did wrong, or what you could fix, but in reality there isnt much that can be done. If there really werent many guys, thats really whats all to blame.
It will get better! Just work it....and by your pics, I doubt you'll have a problem! You are a hottie!

That sucks Lilac, hope you make a shitload of money next time you work.

I have had many bad nights where I made a lot less than $170. Even though $170 is a bad night for you, it's more than you can make at a lot of "normal" jobs in one day. I don't know how long of a shift you work, but say you work an 8 hour shift. That's still over $20 an hour, which isn't great by dancing standards, but it's still pretty good money compared to a lot of jobs. When I have a bad night and I'm upset, sometimes thinking like this helps me feel a little bit better.

It's not you, you're a hottie! It's the club, every club has their off nights. Sometimes you can try your hardest and there's just not a damn thing you can do-there's just not enough customers to work, or the customers that are in the club are not spending money. You will make good money again soon. :

Thank you so much for your encouragemanet guys. You don't know how badly I needed to hear your reassurment. I mean I know this job has it's bad and good nights but sometimes I just get really worried. It is so funny Lexi about what you said about having a bad night and wondering if you lost it! Ha, I do the same thing like omg I'm over the hill. I should start thinking about hanging up my platforms then like I have a good night and think why was I thinking like that?! Anyway I have to go in tonight and I just hope it is not as bad as yesterday!

I know it's not always true, but sometimes when a club is slow the girls will reflect it with a negative attitude so the customers who are there are less likely to spend $$$ and more likely to leave early. It's hard but try to be as positive and friendly as possible on those slow nights and maybe you'll do better. Sometimes a girls who tries extra hard to be friendly and entertaining can still make good money on a slow night. Good luck.

Hopefully it won't be so bad; I haven't been in on a Friday/Saturday night in months.

I've noticed it's been particularly slow when I've come in, and I've been in weekly since the first of the year. Several times I've sat in the back area and been either one of two guys or the only guy back there. But I've done my part, and I suffer from money problems for different reasons.

The wheel will turn however; it'll pick up again. I'm thinking more and more tax refunds will start hitting some guys pockets - maybe they'll pass it on.

Sounds like a typical night for the 1st week of the month, especialy in April. I always tried to avoid working around the last and first day of the month when tons of girls would pour into the club to make their rent. And early/mid April alot of customers get tight with the Tax date closing in. Sorry your night was so yucky but keep your chin up because odds are it had zero to with you.

Just remember: each shift is different to the next even if you DO have two bad shifts in a row. Approach it with a 'clean slate' mentality... what happened that last shift.. happened that last shift. You never know.. you might find one or two guys who will help you out and you will have a great night the next shift you work.

I do this type of thinking to help 'overcome' the bad night/shift. I also remind myself to be grateful for the money by remembering what it was like to be on unemployment benefits (I would get $400 a fortnight)... I also remind myself what I used to make in hospitality as a waitress... no way NEAR as much.

I hate those nights where I earn under $100 and feel like I worked my butt off for the measly $100... then I just allow myself to 'wallow in self pity' before adjusting my attitude by going thru my "I'm grateful" list (things, people, etc that I'm grateful for having in my life at present).
