i agree with many others here... no offence lucid but I think you are alittle too thin. Do yourself a favor and do not loose anymore.

i had boatloads of body image issues before i started dancing. dancing helped me realize that i was being WAY too hard on myself. i know that men will drool over (almost) any naked woman, but the positive reinforcement you can get from dancing helped my self esteem more than i ever could have by myself.
sometimes you have to see yourself through someone else's eyes to realize your worth..
BUT- dancing could also drive you much deeper into your misery, especially if you are constantly comaring yourself to other dancers. you will be surrounded by maybe 50 other women, some will be thinner, some bigger, shorter, taller, more attractive, less attractive, etc etc. some men will prefer them over you- others will prefer you over them. this is the reality. if you dont think you can handle this then you might want to steer clear of this industry for your own mental and physical health.
i'm a little worried - lucid, are you there..?![]()

Venus Godess it seems you always take what I say and point the exception to the rule in everything I post. I was talking about myself not other people. Mabey you look great at 22% body fat. Great I was not talking about all people looking manly at 22% body fat I was talking about ME and I would not be happy at 22% body fat. I feel that I would not look feminine enough. As you know we all have different body types and just because one person looks good at 22% another girls would look better at 27%. I really do not believe I had to explain this. I thought it pretty much goes without saying.

Thanks Lilac! When I had it checked everybody at the gym was like, "oh, that's toomuch borderline obese" I'm like, HUH? But I'm a skinny girl! I think Carmen hit it right on by saying higher body fat = less muscle tone. I think I could benefit from a tad more muscle tone my clavicle sticks out too much I think but it always has you can see my ribs too kinda but again I've always been like that. My pics in the gallery those are a year old but I still look the same. OK upon re-reading this it sounds like I actually work out well I don't I NEVER work out (I went to the gym specifically to have my bodyfat checked not to workout) But aside from all that I really like my body and that's really the most important thing, right? Where is my rambling leading? I'd say like some other girls I also had body image issues before dancing. However I was fortunate that stripping helped me accept my body. I danced for almost 5 years before the boob job the implants have just become the icing on my cake
Lucidchick I hope you're reading and doing ok lots of us can empathize with you and are willing to listen if u wanna talk!
