There are many products that you can buy at a hair supply store..most called "wig detanglers"..that should detangle the hair for you and keep it detangled..
it could also be the brand and quality of the hair, as well.
At this time in my life, the only way I keep moving forward is to know that things will eventually get better..

Well, you didn't say what length, type or texture of hair you are using all of these are factors. If you have a straighter texture in your hair is more likely to tangle the longer you have it in because the hair is so straight and silky that it begins to slip all over itself leading to tangles. You need a large tooth comb to comb through your hair daily so that it does not tangle. You also need a good shampoo and conditioner. Paul Mitchell is a good conditioner detangler or whatever, but you may need something softer and cheaper. I used matrix biolage conditioner and liked it, but what got my hair the softest was like VO5 or suave or some crap. And, I got that tip from the salon where they prewash and conditioner or conditioner after coloring extension hair with a small solution of VO5 if its a lighter color or its a daker color they use a solution of suave and water mixed about 50/50.

Take a pint sized cup of warm water add the conditioner of your choice and three pumps of John Frieda straight forward, a blow-dry straightening creme. Shake it all up thoroughly then pour it onto your hair. Let it sit a minute or two then rinse.
