    Default old stinky shoes!!! hahaha

Hi there ladies! I find my work shoes get so gross after a very short period of time. It's only my work shoes, not my normal daily shoes and boots. I have tried wiping clean with a babywipe every night after work, my feet are clean when they go into the shoes, and I have tried deep cleaning the shoes several time. So I just got some NEW shoes a few weeks ago and already they are starting to smell! I don't want to have to buy new shoes all the time...any tips? Btw, they are the plastic kind, open toe, sling back.
    Any tips?
    Thanks

have you tried powdering your feet during the night?

or maybe one of those oder-absorbing pads, perhaps you can get one that is the halterstyle.....?

I know a dancer who washes her shoes in the dishwasher (not with the dishes ), and she claims that gets rid of the stink right away.

I usually just hit mone with febreeze evey night after work. That seems to work like a charm.

simple, find the foot fetish customer who will pay lotss of $$$ for your smelly ones and you can afford to buy new ones! =) there are lots of them out there

or don't make such a big deal out of it, who cares if they smell? as long as they're not falling apart, they do the job

I heard that you can put your shoes in a freezer bag in the freezer w/ some good spary inside. Ive tried it too (of course you wanna thaw them before work)
I usually use Tinactin; I know its mainly for athletes foot but it helps w/ the smell.

    Really humble tricks to try:
Set shoes in bathtub, lather up with shampoo + hot water by scrubbing with hard bristle brush. Dye/ filth will come off in foam. Rinse and repeat. Try not to let too much water soak into the platform soles or they'll never dry out.
When shoes are clean, dump baking soda on the soles and let stand for a couple hours.
Set shoes in sun to dry out.
I prefer the dishwasher trick, but not everyone has one at their disposal.

This is going to sound really weird but I used to do this to my running shoes and now my dancing shoes -- works like a charm.
OK, kitty litter is made to absorb stink, right? I cut off the bottoms (about a foot) off old pantyhose, fill 'em with kitty litter, and tie off the end. Then stick them in your shoes @ the end of the night. They'll absorb the funk -- and kinda make your shoes smell this weird florally smell but I prefer that over nasty shoe stink.
I got this idea from one of those "Good Housekeeping" tip type columnns. I bet they didn't know it would be so appreciated by strippers!

earth theraputics makes this liquid foot therapy stuff. it turns into a powder once it dries. may make ur shoes slippery. i use it when i wear my boots (feet are too small for stripper shoes).

i wipe my feet with babywipes between changes and spray my boots (shoes) with lysol spray (kills everything!)
sometimes i use powders too, but sparingly! if you tend to change from boots to shoes, or go barefoot in the VIP room, you'll end up emabarrassed with powder all over ( and some will glow in blacklight!)

i use odor eaters foot spray on my feet and on the inside of my shoes before i put them on and then spray again when ive taken them off. it does dry a little powdery so with my black shoes i have to wipe off the tops of them after i spray them but its a small price to pay. this workes best with new shoes though, preventing foot stink is easyer then getting rid of it.

I douse mine with Febreeze and then stick them in the freezer just about every other night. Works very well.

I used to powder my feet before sliding into the open toed plastic ones, I first initially did this just to get the damn things on, and it turned out it helped keep my feet from getting nasty
