i think it will fall off.
I got some 6" ones recently and I love them. They are really comfortable. I say give them a few test runs as-is.
I will wear the 6 in. but that would be to high.
Smoochies...
Get two garters, cute small thin ones, and wrap them around the heel and then over your foot and ankle while standing in the shoe. If you have thin feet/ankles you may be able to wrap it around your heel again and this will keep them on. Lots of girls do this and it doesn't look tacky as long as the garter matches your outfit. Lots of customers think girls have tons with different colored ankle straps to match their outfits.

Great idea Divyne!!!
I wouldn't go on stage and dance with that high a heel but I would work the floor with them if I had any heels that high.
Also, a shoe tailor is not that expensive, if you don't have the sewing skills or equipment, the price will not be unreasonable.

In the meantime, you could wear your new shoes while you're working the floor and switch to a different pair of shoes when you go on stage.![]()
wow, I can't stand ankle straps! And all my shoes are 7.5 inches! But of course I've worked my way up to that. So I think the garter idea is great, and eventually work your up. Personally, I think ankle strapless shoes are the sexiest; really elongates your entire leg.

Ankle straps bother me too. I wear clear plastic slides and generally buy them a size smaller to ensure that they won't slip off.

help is here! if you want straps on them go and buy the bra straps from the department store and strap them under the shoe just in front of the heel and then join them around your ankle.
if you dont want to wear ankle straps but have weak ankles a good exercise is to rise up on your toes and hold for 5-10 seconds and then lower slowly, this will help heaps.ive done ballet for years and thats the exercise we use. good luck!

I personally won't dance without ankle straps because I'm afraid my shoe will go flying off while I'm doing pole tricks. And I've seen it before. Luckily the dancer was amazing and was able to retrieve her shoe and put it back on without breaking here rythm (sp.) I don't know if I'd be that lucky tho.

I could never dance without straps..I see all these shoes on exotic dancer clothing websites and I'm like how the hell do they do it. I think if you haven't danced in a club for a while you wouldn't be used to the 7.5 PLUS strapless..I wouldn't want you to injure yourself and be up shit creek completely. I recently bought a pair of shoes off the net..but they were just to chunky for my taste..so I just resold them on ebay and used the money from that and bought another pair that were better suited for me. Since these are NEW maybe you could do that instead. I like the electriqueboutique.com and krystels.com (sale sections of course) I'm such a cheapo bitch..lol
I hope everything works for you..break a leg!..but NOT in those shoes..he he

Definetely a professional job here. You will ruin to pairs if you do them by yourself.
do you really like these shoes, you could just sell them on e-bay and buy a pair that are more suited to your needs

Just keep your toes pointed and they will not come off.
