After a few months of deliberation, as well as nights of reading the SW forums, I finally got the balls to check out the strip clubs in my area. I live in Eastern Washington, and the two closest clubs to me are an hour and a half away. This is actually a good thing, since I wouldn't want anyone I know seeing me at work (not that I'd be ashamed to be a dancer, I'd just rather not have classmates or my professors see me naked!). My two options are the Deja Vu in Spokane and Stateline Showgirls in Post Falls, Idaho. The plan is to start of as a waitress (as I have absolutely no experience with strip clubs) and eventually dance.
Deja Vu had very friendly dancers and, while it wasn't crowded at all, the customers there seemed to be spending money. I tipped every dancer during their stage sets, which they appreciated. I also talked a customer into buying me AND himself a lap dance, haha...how's that for hustling? The dance was fairly high contact (one way contact) but the dancer had a bikini on the whole time. Stage dances are fully nude. The club also has champagne rooms ($$$ potential) and shower shows (not exactly sure what those are). The dancers did a lot of pole tricks and floor work, which I was trying to study, but I couldn't pay much attention because that customer talked me to death! He was a sweet man, though, and promised to be my first regular if I get a job there. The manager said they are not hiring waitresses and that if I want to dance, I should come for amateur night.
Stateline Showgirls is also fully nude. As soon as I walked in the door, I was given an application and I talked to one of the owners, so I didn't see much dancing (I didn't pay to get in, so I didn't want to push my luck and ask to stay, lol). The dancers I did see tended to use the pole less and just did slow, sexy dancing across the stage. Lap dances there are either topless or nude, but they appeared to be no contact air dances. The dancer at Deja Vu who gave me my dance warned me that Showgirls is much more strict when it comes to contact, and said the other girls can be bitchy if a dancer is making more money than them. Of course, I wouldn't judge a club off one girl's opinion, but I will take that into consideration. Personally, I think I'd rather give a more personal lap dance but keep my clothes on than get totally naked and dance 3 feet away from the customers.
So now that I've typed a novel (sorry!!) my question is- what would you ladies do? The manager at Stateline hired me on the spot as a waitress- he has a spot opening up next week, and I need to start working ASAP. When I feel ready to dance, should I start at Stateline and then switch to Deja Vu when I learn the sexy pole tricks they all seem to know? Is anyone familiar with Washington laws vs. Idaho laws? Again, sorry this is so darn long. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
(I should also mention that Stateline has no house fee, while the Vu charges $35).
