I am a high school graduate and a second year matriculated college student, however I have taken many other classes as a non-matriculated student before my status changed to matriculated!

I have a "B" average at present and am a political science major!

I have two jobs and my own business!

Well seeing as you can only select one option, mine would be college graduate.

However i did drop out of school at 15 BUT did not drop out of education, i refused to go back to school but also refused to be a bum without any qualifications so i was transfered to a college at the age if 15 and finished there ( this is not the norm but i was very stubborn )

I then went back at a few years later to get my national diploma and graduated last year ( age 19 ).

I will being studying for a degree in the states in jan ...... ( here in the UK you have to have gone to college and gained A levels/national diploma before going on to Uni to gain a degree, where as in the US you can study for a degree straight after graduating from HS )

Seraya.

why not add trade school? I know lots of girls who are studying to be cosmetcians and the like.

also noticed when I voted that nobody had chosen high school....maybe the poll is self-selecting, therefore, not an ccurate representation? Also, I believe stripperweb strippers are more educated than the average stripper, so you really won't get a lot of information from this poll.

Emily, refer to the "thug" thread and you will see the reason for this poll. She thinks we're "unable to be educated"

oops excuse me I should not have said "we" perhaps she meant I'm unable to be educated.

honestly...

dropped out of high school at 17, to go to uni ( got in a year early) but then got lazy, dropped out of that ( plus living on 50bucks a week sucks) got a "normal job" that sucked, became a stripper. now im 19, wish i had found dancing just a few months earlier, so i could have juggled the both study and work. instead of dropping out compleatly.

now im travelling.

gonna go back to study whenever i settle down.

im too young and too lazy too study now.lol that was the same downfall i had at high school lol when ya get bored, ya become naughty....haha lesson learnt now.
then again i did have a reading age of 20 when i was 9...so yeah...lol wasnt stupid, just lazy to the days. haha

I have a bachelor's degree in marketing. However, I've been dancing full-time for the past year because it pays better than most entry-level jobs and I love dancing!

I agree with Emily that the girls that post on Stripperweb are more educated than the average stripper. I know a couple dancers who are currently in school, but most of the ones I've worked with have never been to college. Also, many of the dancers I've worked with do not even have basic money-managing skills. They'll come to work and say "I need to make $200 today or my electricity's gonna be turned off!"

Sometimes customers will ask me if I'm in school, and I tell them I'm already done with my schooling. What irks me is when they ask "Well, why are you working here then?" I hate it when customers think that we strip because we HAVE to, not because we want to, like we're too dumb to do anything else. Doesn't it occur to people that some of us actually like our job?

Way to go, Lena! That's excellent, especially since it's a lot tougher to maintain a high GPA in college than it is in high school. In high school I got almost straight A's with very little effort, and in college I had to bust my ass to get a B in some classes.

Thought this question might just be being asked of the dancers, but since a couple guys have chimed in so will I.

honors B.Sc, tho it took me a little extra time, as I spent the first year or so searching our on campus pub for a major I liked(lol). Ended up with double major Psych & crime and deviance.
Was a TA for a year, scored 96% percentile on my LSAT so headed off to law school.

Hmmm.. Well, I had to decide on which option to pick, as there are many that apply to me.

I quit high school in the 10th grade.. TWICE. The first time, was to care for my mother who was and still is bedridden with Multiple Sclerosis. I took CNA classes to become her caregiver when my Grandmother's health had failed her and she could no longer care for my mother. After my mother got some more health aides coming to help her, I went back to school, briefly.

I quit again soon after my return, to get married at the age of 16. Yep, 16. Three months after the wedding, I was pregnant with my first child. Twenty-Two months later, I was pregnant with baby number 2. I stayed home and raised my kids until '96. At that point, I went and got my G.E.D.

After completing my G.E.D., I took some business courses and earned a degree. After that, I started making plans for my own business, and divorced my "Squid" (Navy hubby). That was back in '98.

Now, in 2004, I'm remarried, and have a 3rd child. I have a small, yet successful home-based business and I'm currently in the process of branching out in to the online market. That's still going to take a bit of time, but I'm constantly working on it.

Incidentally though, all my years dancing haven't been a waste. In '96 when we moved to Arizona, my savings bought us a $98,000 home. I also put money away for my business and never touched it until I was ready to.

All in all, I'm highly educated and extremely experienced in just about any area. lol.

I finally dropped out of college to pursue life. I love college, but hated that I had to take, pretty much, 2 years of courses that have absolutely nothing to do with my major (Music Theory and Compostion). For the 3 years I was in college...I hardly took any prereq's. I had a 4.0 average and was happy until they stuck me into some College Algebra class (I am not good in math). I'll go back and take some classes here and there...but in my experience, you really don't need a degree to get a good paying job...and the jobs that you do need a degree for (social work, teacher, etc) pay a starting wage of about $25,000 a year. No thanks!

I still love my music and theatre and will be joining another theatre group soon enough...as long as I am having fun, that's all that matters to me!!

I have had dancers ask me that. I went to collage for graphic design, i didnt graduate though but I am a preaty decent designer (http://jteffects.tripod.com/beforeaf...foreafter.html). i enjoy graphic design, but if I were to get a job in that feild I wouldnt have the freedom that I have with dancing. i would be stuck in an office all day, doing what i was told, no real control over what I did. with freelance graphic design I get freedom, I can still dance, and I have fun. of course I don't make much doing freelance, but who cares? its fun.

BA from one of the top 15 colleges in the US. Yes, I'm bragging. I busted my ass to graduate. Hoping to go for a PhD in the next 2 years, but like many educated dancers, I like my freedom and the pay cut would suck.

I agree with the posts about many co-workers who are uneducated and have awful money management skills. I have also met several dancers who've never been to college and are extremely literate and intelligent. It might be a cliche, but college really isn't for everybody.
A few others who dropped out of high school because they were smart but miserable, family issues, etc...
