Default is it me or the club

Hi all, its been awhile since I've posted...I have been dancing in a small rual ohio club since the end of febuary and I know I'm still not a great dancer but I am improving and I'm not bad looking...

Well I went to an amatuer night in another rual area but it was closer to home and it was considerably bigger. I made 14 dollars in tips in 6 minuets and I won the competition against experienced dancers. Part of the reason I won is because I was nice to the girls that worked there and they took a likeing to me and encouraged people to cheer for me but everyone says I would have won even if they werent on my side...

the reason i'm confused is how could I win amatuer night and have everyone tell me i was great (custmers and dancers) and when I'm at the club I work with I can leave a shift with anywhere from 5-50 dollars usually making about 10??

At first I thought it was me, was I just lucky to do well amatuer night, or do u think I just work at a crappy club?

Are you going around to the customers and asking them for lapdances? Or are you hanging out in the dressing room talking to your friends?

How much are the dances where you work?

Hey Mariah, I'm never one to just stay in the dressing room. I always get out and work the floor. Table dances are 5$ and they are in a little booth and VIPS are couch lap dances which are 25$, we give our first VIP to the house and there after we keep 15 we give them 10. Thanx

um, MOVE ON TO A NEW CLUB!

it ALSO seems that you are giving WAY too much out to the club for the earnings you make! what state are you in?

10-50 dollors isnt even worth a second look in that clubs direction!

Sounds like you are in a shitty club and there are probably ALOT of extras going on there for the girls to make decent money with those high payouts. I think you should go to the other club where you won the amateur night.

It's simple. Your money isn't going to be made from working on stage. You'll make a few bucks, but that's about it. Your money is made by selling dances.

Sounds to me also that this club isn't designed for the girls to make money. Some clubs are really good at organizing their prices that is condusive to the dancers being successful, others aren't. Usually the clubs that have the most liberal rules for dancers (but not allowing extra work) is also where the clubs are doing really well. When the dancers make more money, the club makes more money. When they tighten down the rules on the dancers, they think that it's going to help the club but it never does. It's the difference between good business sense and bad business sense. If you are in fact working the floor effectively and you still are only making $50 a night, start looking for a new place as soon as you can.

Mabey because during amatur night cheap guys don't have to fork over cash for lapdances! At your usual club mabey you should just brush up on your selling teqniques.

It's the club. The way you describe the dances I can tell selling one dance is a big deal.

It is very important that a club have lots of momentum and good foot traffic. I've worked in more than a few SELECT rural clubs and the clubs like what you are describing I have left after one weeks booking and NEVER rebooked. There are small town and rural clubs you can work a 6 day week in and make $1100-$2500 in a week, $1100 being a bad week. Even being new in some of the clubs I've worked in $1200-$1300 for the week would not be hard for you if you are friendly and work all the guys.

It's not your race or your fault. If the dance ordinances in a club are too strict and the volume of customers is low what can you do.

If your club doesn't average 50- 80 customers through the door a night, maybe higher on weekends, your income potential will be low. Plus in rural areas, guys don't have much to do and if your club gives good dances and is fun you will have some good older customers.
