I've been watching Passions since forever....
Terrible acting, terrible lines, terrible plots...
But you can barely ever turn it off.

I also watch passions. My other one is Days of Our Lives. I watch alot of talk shows too. Does anyone watch any of these?

I have watched General Hospital when time permits since I was 7...

Not sure what that says about my willingness to mature![]()

LMFAO.. Ok, you got me. I am totally guilty. I've been watching Days for ages. In fact, I remember as a teenager I used to skip school when I knew that the episode was going to be a "can't miss" one. It's gotten really good lately, but unfortunately, the Marlena serial killer storyline is going to continue well into next year (2005). Should be interesting to see where they take it though. They've ruled out just about every possible explanation I had, so I'm clueless. LOL
For anyone curious, Hattie is not the murderer. It is Marlena for sure. She's also not possessed (again! lol), the producers have ruled those out. Hattie's being brought in to create a diversion, and to make everyone think twice about Marlena's guilt. Another possibility they've ruled out is the return of Marlena's evil twin sister. She's gone for good. I'm thinking it's more along the lines of a Stefano thing.
Oh, and a show is in the works that is a spinoff of Days'. Believe it or not, it's to be called "The Other Side of Days'", kind of like a crossing-over type thing, which all the dearly departed salemites. A bit off the wall, but nothing out of the ordinary for the producers and writers of that show. LOL
Passions.. Ah, yes, guilty on that one too. I've watched it since the beginning. My heart truly broke when Josh Ryan Evans lost his battle with his disease. His character is truly missed. I am a bit sick to death of the Sheridan/Luis/Antonio storyline though.
A few years ago, I was into Sunset Beach. I guess not a lot of others were, because the ratings sucked, which resulted in its cancellation. Sigh.
But yes, I am a true soap addict. It's nice to turn on the tv and see that my life isn't quite as messed up as the scripted shows. LOL. My baby girl is usually taking her nap for those precious 2 hours, too, which is a bonus. And when she gets up. We watch ELLEN! weeeee.. Then the TV goes off. LOL
Incidentally though, if anyone wants to know what's going to be happening on the soaps ahead of time, there are a few sites out there with spoilers. I've constantly checked Days' Spoilers because I don't want any surprises on who they'll kill off next. (RIP Alice). A link is below for the best one I've found.
i've been watching passions since it started. I totally hate the show now but I can't stop watching it. I also watch days from time to time.
I love some General Hospital and One Life to Live. if I'm really bored I watch All My Children. My mom watched all these ever since I can remember, so I just kept watching even when she stopped. I used to watch Sunset Beach and Days of Our Lives and also Young and the Restless.....I suppose I'm a soap freak. I like to get makeup ideas though from them. And I met Susan Ward, who used to be on Sunset Beach...she was in Charlotte at one of the clubs. Very cool.

I've been watching Guiding Light since 9th grade..OMG like 16 years now..geez! Plus Bold and the Beautiful..god I HATE BROOKE!!

THEY KILLED ALICE?!?!?! THOSE BASTARDS! I watched Days with my mom when I was little--totally relate to staying home on important days! I remember when Marlena was possessed....*sigh* memories!
But yeah, I watched Days and Passions (anyone remember Another World or, crap, what was that other one....oh yeah, Santa Barbara? hehe....OLD SCHOOL!). Which character was Josh Ryan Evans? I haven't watched Passions since I graduated high school (really only liked it for the Theresa/Ethan storyline). That show went wacko!
Now I spend my time watching Court shows. My favorites are Texas Justice (Judge Larry Joe!) and People's Court (Judge Marilyn Milian). They kick a**. Those two judges in particular are SOOOOO funny! I LOVE their sarcasm and wit! They make me want to go into law!

LOL Yes dahling, sadly. They did kill off Alice. She wasn't fired though, she decided it was time for her to retire and relax. She could barely walk on the set anymore, so it was good for her I think. But, I will say, that I DID NOT watch the day that Marlena killed her. I'm sure you've noticed, but, Marlena keeps getting more and more graphic. LOL. I just couldn't bear to watch her slice and dice that sweet old lady.Originally Posted by SCGirl link=board=1;threadid=8233;start=msg96441#msg96441 date=1081889603
Josh Ryan Evans (Passions) was Timmy. The boy who was once a doll. LOL. He was Tabitha's sidekick. Occasionally they show flashbacks of him. He suffered from a disease of which it name escapes me now. He was 18 or 19 when he died, but he resembled a 4 or 5 year old. It was very sad, because it was so sudden.
LMFAO I LOVED Santa Barbara. Cruz was such a hottie back then. ::sigh:: I also loved Another World. I've always been a NBC type of girl.
Ok.. Had to look it up, but Josh Ryan Evans had Achondroplasia. It prevented his body from maturing. It's congenital dwarfism or some form of it. Here's a link, maybe his face will remind you. He was adorable.
Oh yes, Timmy....my sister was SOOO sad when he died!
Yeah NBC soaps are the best! (who DIDN'T have a thing for Cruz?!)

LMFAO I know it. I did like his brother, Ric too, although I can't remember who played him. Incidentally, Santa Barbara was pretty much a breakthrough for Robin Wright-Penn. She played Kelly Capwell. She got major roles after that.Originally Posted by SCGirl link=board=1;threadid=8233;start=msg96458#msg96458 date=1081890343
But now I'm totally in lust with Ben Masters (Julian, Passions). I have no idea why. He's so distinguished looking.

OMG I am glad I am not the only one that loves soap operas. Watched a little bit of Passions before but just started really getting into it. GRRRR I wish Gwen and Rebecca would give Theresa little Ethen!! GRRR I really hate GWEN! Oh and I loved little Timmy on the show. It seemed to be alot more campy and superstitous a few years ago. I kinda wish they would bring back that crazy wichy stuff it made me laugh alot at how corney it was.![]()
days freak here as well. been watching it since i was a teenager too!

oh I thought you meant the soap operas at the club. hee hee. Seriously tho I haven't watched soaps since I was a preteen. Used to watch General Hospital alllllllllllll the time. This was back in the day of Luke and Laura and the Quartermaines and some bullshit about the ice princess.![]()
Ummm Dumb question... Isn't the other side of days, shit whats the word I'm looking for? Oh yeah now I remember...NIGHTS?Originally Posted by Rhiannon link=board=1;threadid=8233;start=msg96397#msg96397 date=1081886883
As far as watching soap operas Can't stand em unless its on spanish tv then I just mute and drool baby!
Oh am I admitting here!
Young and the Restless! My mom was a major follower.. I remember being a little girl when Victor and Nikki were dating! Did the whole Danny and Lauren summer following.. along with the Guiding Light summer with Phillip, Beth, Mindy and the bad boy in the leather jacket.. anyone remember him?
I then got addicted to All my Children during the Hailey/Will craze... I was so bad that I wouldn't schedule myself for anything from 1-2.. and then I began taping it.. and then I was calling those hot lines to find out what was going to happen next...
Soap Operas Annonymous???
These days... I am addicted to re runs of X files.

LMFAO.. you're too much.
I love watching my father-in-law flip through the channels. It always takes him quite a while to continue flipping once he lands on the spanish channel. LOL
LOL I totally agree. They've seemed to have toned it down a bit. I liked it a whole lot more with the major off-the-wall stuff.Originally Posted by lilac666 link=board=1;threadid=8233;start=msg96524#msg96524 date=1081896118
Does anyone else think that Eve should be with Julian, and Whitney with Fox? Or am I the only nut? LOL. True, Fox and Theresa are engaged and pregnant in the real world, but I just like the whole Whitney and Fox pairing onscreen better.
Also on Eric Martsolf's website that I happened upon on a night of total boredom, everyone is under the impression that it'll be revealed that Little Ethan is really Ethan's. We'll have to wait and see how that plays out.
I liked Rebecca a whole lot more when she was played by Maureen McCormack (Marsha Marsha Marsha!). I don't like this one, just because I couldn't stand her on OLTL when I watched that occasionally way back.. lol
I think it's hilarious that Theresa, Ethan, Fox, and Whitney all sang that "Sugah Sugah" song.. I couldn't stop laughing. What's even more amusing is that it was their actual voices.. lol
started watching passions since they first aired and i just grew tired of it ...the story lines are tooo loooooooooooooooooooong and drawn out ...so i cant be bothered ..i used to watch days of our lives and the young and the restless but i dunno i can't find it in me to sit down and watch them.. guess i'm getting old.....lol

I have always watched the ABC shows:, All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital - as long as I can remember. Can't get into any others. Just can't.
I don't watch all the time, that thing they say about being able to leave it for a few months, come back and watch for a week and you're all caught up is true.![]()
I do have to get a fairly regular fix of Sonny on GH though! He has ALWAYS turned me on LOL
