    Default morning sickness

Ok, odd question, probably/hopefully a no but anyways I'm a little concerned...

So this is the second time this week I've woken up and been sick to my stomach and throwing up. After the mornign I feel fine (besides the cold thing I have going on) Last week I was eating on campus and just up and threw up. Now I cant' stand to smell food on campus or I get really sick to my stomach and feel nautious. My mom asked me if there was a chance I could be pregnant, so it got me nervous....

Which is why I'm asking...is there a chance? The last time I had sex was over a month ago, I'm on birth control, we used a condom, and I got my period (lighter than usual) when I was supposed to. I know a girl in high school didn't know that she was pregnant til 5 months along because she was on depo to begin with, and would spot.

Right now I feel like hell, I have a headache and am really dizzy and feel nautious, and now I have to go to the arena to practice (I skate).

Y ou very well could be pregnant.Do smells amke you sick always? Not just in the morning? The pill can do this as well, also some other things, I am not exactly sure of.When I was preganant, smells made me sick always, no matter what time of day.I have felt this way before though and have not been preganant. You may also have a stomach virus, its going around.Take a pregnancy test to make sure.If it doesnt go away,go to the doctor.

YES..I agree with michele take a pregnancy test. All birth control fails at one point or another. The only way to assure NOT getting pregnant is abstaining from sex all together. It's really stressfull thinking one might be pregnant when you don't want to be. The tests at the drugstore are the same type they use at clinics before the blood test..Get the pee on the stick ones be sure to follow the directions exactly which are pretty simple ..this way you will avoid a false result. But these tests should detect any hormone which cause a positive result. You should find out if you are pregnant or not because it is possible to have bleeding like a period if you are and you may have a tubal pregnancy which could be life threatening. So I guess you should trot down to the drug store to start the process. If it's negative and these symptoms persist..you should see a doc. I hope everything works out for you hun.

How long have you been on the pill? I had a very similar problem when I started taking the pill. Three months in, I started getting weird headahes, nausea, etc. I basically felt very light headed all the time--worse so in the mornings. It turns out that the hormones in the Pill triggered a reaction in my system. I had to keep trying different brands/doseages/etc until I found one that worked. Once it got so bad that on a day I was performing (I sang), I went and started the performance and felt fine. Five minutes later, I started sweating, things got blurry, I got dizzy.....then, by the end of the song, I nearly collapsed. I immediately found my mom and said I needed to leave right then and there. I had to leave my group hanging. The minute I got to the car, I blacked out. When I got home, I spent three hours throwing up and wondering if I was having an anurism (sp?). I honestly thought I was going to die. But then, as fast as the feeling came, it went. I felt fine and went out that night.

If any of that sounds like what you've been feeling and you haven't been taking the Pill for over 6 months, I'd discuss it with you doctor. You might want to stop the pill for a while to see if that's what is causing it. Just a suggestion.

Well I'm gonna "trot down to the drug store" as Holiday said, either in a few mins or tomorow morning.

michelle - the smell/nautious thing happens at all times of the day - esp if I'm on campus...

SCGirl...I'm actually exactly 3 months into using the pill. I switched from Depo in January.

well I guess I know what I'm doing tomorow....Thanks for the advice ladies!

You've been on the pill three months and this is just happening to you? Get a test, love. Pregnancy is going around these days. The anytime sickness thing is a bog indicator. Are you tired all the time? Unexplained mood swings? Any sign of your monthly cycle?

Are your breaasts tender and slightly bigger? All signs of pregnancy. I doubt the pill will do ALL that!

Sounds like you could be pregnant, I have been going through some of the same symptons. Too nervous to test though. Eh.

    Best of luck!

The light bleeding could have also been implantation bleeding. It's possible you're pregnant- nothing is 100% it seems. So take your test and I hope you get the answer you want, good luck
