I was lukewarm on the first one - though it had a lot of great parts but thought that it was really lacking something overall

The second one - loved it. So many great character moments, so many powerful scenes - he doesn't need super-choreographed wire-assisted kung-fu fighting, he can put me on the edge of my seat with just two well drawn characters, a scene filled with subtext and incredible dialogue.

uma to me is REALLY not the best looking lady to me at all. BUT totally doesn't have anything to do with her hair color, just her face (to me at least)

yea, my fiance doesn't like her either, and he loves blonds.. but THEN again he doesn't find julianna moore attractive BECAUSE of her red hair and i think shes beautiful.

I must say that Uma Thurman's character in Kill Bill 1 was the baddest mo-fo I have ever seen in a movie! I think Uma is smoking hot, she is so damn tall! But I can see where some people think she has a butter face.

I think her nose is too pointy, her eyes are too big, and her cheeks are funny. She's not ugly, it's just that I don't think her face is in the right proportions.

Uma is the perfect example of that French term jolie-laide: which is an oxymoron for "pretty ugly."

Her features are not classical, they are too intense, but it comes together in such a unique way she is beautiful and you can look at her many times, she can look different.

She's like the female Owen Wilson, who I also thought was horrid at first, but has grown on me so much..

I also think she is her natural blonde in KillBill, or from what I have read......

I finally got to watch the dvd I rented ( I should've just bought it, the rental cost me $12 :rolleyes The movie was great !! I am going to catch volume II tomorrow. Her daughter being alive was a shocker, I normally can predict movie endings. Anyway..I love Uma even more after seeing it Kill Bill

BTW, I hope you won't think me rude for asking, but is that a real picture of you in the Avatar?

Wow! I can't wait to se Kill Bill Vol. II, but at the same time, I'm quite disgusted at the fact that you're all dissing Uma's looks. For Christ's fucking sakes! Who gives a shit on how beautiful she is or is not! I'd give anything to be her in a New York Minute! I bet so would most of you. Quentin is one hell of a fucking genius.....

I just saw Kill Bill for the first time the other night.. it took me three hours to get thru it. I have a horrible intolerance in regards to violence and the first scene was very hard for me, as well as the second with the little girl seeing her mother dead on the floor, but, after I got thru it and rummaged thru the violence, I liked the story line, and now (GULP) I am ready to see the second one...

P.S. I am slooooow at posts lately.. I got behind and am trying to catch up.
