"Fantasia". "Big Lebowski". "Clue". "Airplane." "Arthur" "Trading Places."
...and here I thought I was the only one who loved Clue. I saw it when it first came out on video with a bunch of friends. The video (as opposed to the theatrical showing) had all three endings and I have fond memories of that movie because I guessed one of the three correctly, a friend guessed another one, and the third ending blew us all away.

OMGs.. I can't believe I forgot that one. Beautifully done movie, and the ending had me crying my eyes out. That movie had such a great message though.

Rhiannon, you would enjoy #5 Simon Birch stars Ashley Judd and Oliver Platt . About a boy who is born small and his best friend.

Okay, I'm sure I'll chime in. Oh yeah, Sitri's avatar has to be from Wings of Desire by Wim Winders - unbelievably uplifting film.

Awww, sounds great, I'll definitely check that one out. Thanks hon. Plus, I love Ashley Judd, so that's a total bonus. lol.

Another movie I thought of that I watch a lot is "As Good As It Gets". Great film.

Sheesh.. our video collection here tops out at over 400 DVD's, all being things we'd watch over and over from the quality and enjoyment.

That being said, some of my higher top-picks:
Chung King Express, Fallen Angels- Kar Wai Wong; great stuff.
City of Lost Children- I love the look and style of Jean-Pierre Jeunet films, Alien Resurrection had the same visual appeal.
Lost in Translation- I look forward to Sofia Copolla's future eagerly! This movie was so beautifully filmed, paced and scored.
Red Shoe Diaries- the original Zalman King pilot (not the series). 9 1/2 Weeks and Wild Orchid were decent in their own right as well.
One Hour Photo- a very interesting twist in presentation to such a touching and empathic story.
Shawshank Redemption- Incredible story of human will.
Gattaca- Much the same. Delightful, futuristic story.
Blade Runner- Ridley Scott and Syd Mead w/ Phillip K. Dick's visions behind them. Great combination.
Spiderman- probably the only mainstream movie I truly enjoyed start to finish.

I love all the sappy romance/comedy movies such as:
When Harry Met Sally, You've got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle

I dig the good-fun movies with comedic blends-
Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, Bubba Hotep- Bruce Campbell performs these roles so well.
Holy Grail/Meaning of Life- gotta have some Python to balance the collection.
    Princess Bride- Fun movie.
Fisher King- Only Robin Williams could have pulled this role off.
Jackass- these guys are my heroes, really LOL.

Gotta love the old classics too-
Casablanca, Dirty Dozen, Two Mules for Sister Sara (and many old Eastwood movies), etc.etc.

    And dont forget animations-
Anything Don Bluth, Fantasia, Secret of Nimh, Land before Time, modern arrivals like Nemo, Monsters Inc., Bug's Life

Too many more to mention! Interestingly enough, I never cared much for the Star Wars films, LOTR trilogy, Matrix trilogy and whatnot. I'd rather see another Clash of the Titans or 70's form Sinbad-style movie over the current high-budget, high-expense movies.
It doesn't matter if you're somebody in this world, it rather matters you mean the whole world to somebody.

Hahaha You rock, Blade. I LOVE Willow, and Val Kilmer looked totally hot in that. Whew... lol

I just don't like what they did to poor Warwick Davis. He went from Willow to the chain of Leprechaun movies.. lol

I forgot about Rain Man-Dustin Hoffman does an outstanding job portraying an autistic man in this movie. Forrest Gump is another excellent movie-funny in some parts but I bawled at the end.

Excellent choices, Blondhottie! "American Beauty" was a wonderful movie, but the ending sort of creeped me out. LOL. Just the way that guy was looking at Kevin Spacey's bullet wound. ::shiver::

Hehe "Say Thank You, Gilbert!" Great movie!

I'm just rattling these off, so I'm sure to have missed a few.

    The Goonies
    Death Race 2000
    Traffic
    A Time To Kill
    The Wizard of OZ
    Minority Report
    Blazing Saddles
    Risky Business
    The Principal
    The Green Mile
    The Waterboy
The Hand That Rocks The Cradle
    The entire 'Terminator' trilogy.
    Forrest Gump
    Twister
Decline of Western Civilization Part II - The Metal Years
    Airplane and Airplane II
    Caddyshack
    Boogie Nights

Kill Bill may soon join the list. Gotta go see part 2.

A guilty pleasure of mine is to rent these God-awful direct to video B-movies, (the kind that they used to show on USA Up All Night except that they're unedited on video (gotta fulfill my nudity quota). Shannon Tweed must have made a hunded of these damn things. I'll often rent them just to see just how bad a movie can get.

Omigod...you guys bring up some great ones that I missed like Willow, Lolita, Pay It Forward, The Full Monty (what a GREAT film--I totally didn't expect it to be what it was!), Ghostbusters and, seesh, who could forget Clue (I LOVE Tim Curry!)!!!!

As for "As Good As It Gets"--it's the only movie that I have watched over and over and over again and I still keep discovering new things in it....that's a major accomplishment.

Dancer Wealth mentioned the Jet Li movie, Hero which was written by Quentin Tarantino. I just saw the preview for it while I was seeing Kill Bill Vol. 2 (which by the way, now makes my list of best movies EVER!!!!). The movie looks like the most amazing thing I have ever seen. It's due in theaters this summer--I can't WAIT!!!

OH...OH....I forgot to add my fav "action" movie of all time....Top Gun!!!
