Absolutely. Just like any other job, no one has the right to treat us with disrespect.
Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which they live is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. - M Rivero

Agreed. But I think that it would be ten times harder to prosecute than if you were working a ''normal'' job.

Yes. For bad cases I see nothing wrong with a crisp, loud slap in the face. That's after two warnings though.
The Texas Pin-up Stripteuse!

Well of COURSE! In fact I daresay for us it's worse, in part because of the nature of the biz, and in part because everyone knows no judge/jury is gonna give half a thought to a stripper crying sexual harrassment. It does not make it anymore right or 'ok' for a person in a position of power to harrass coworkers sexually. The fact that we work in SCs does NOT mean we forfeit all rights to common decency.
Is this question for real?

Amen to that!! A had a friendly girl I knew in another club who was dancing for a customer - grabbed her in the middle of her routine and forcefully tried to give her a hickey on her neck. I think she punched him in the face. He was lucky that was all he got but she quite felt threatened after that.Originally Posted by Juliette_deSade link=board=8;threadid=8309;start=msg97779#msg97779 date=1082129407

^^^ in regards to what Malibu posted, I would have shoved my stiletto in his eye. (jk....he'd probably try to sue me AND win) stupid fuckers
What a moron.
I'm with everyone else on this - DEFINATELY!!! I worked in a club where even certain people in management were to be avoided. They would proposition certain girls or try to touch them on their boobs or pussy. It does make the lines of right and wrong alittle harder to see though, being that you are walking around naked in a room full of sexual energy.

IMHO, sexual harrassment is whenever someone does something of a sexual nature to you that you don't wish/want. i.e. anyone trying to make a grab for your pussy, especially on stage. I believe S.H. happens all the time in strip clubs, but most girls don't know what to call it b/c they think it's all part and parcel with the job. It's NOT!!! As livenudegirls said, it doesn't matter WHAT kind of job we have, we deserve to be treated with respect. However, on the other side of the coin, I feel we should try to treat all the customers with respect. Now, I know there's been a few times I've wanted to slap/hit a customer, but I don't really think that does any good. All you've done is sink down to their level. What I've found works better is to go find a manager and let him handle it, since that's what they're there for and when they tell a customer they did something wrong, it tends to hold a lil more weight. Now, I know that's not fair, but that's usually how it goes.

Manager, getting a free shot of your pussy and your tities

Regarding what Christy says, I've worked in loads of clubs where mgmt just didn't give a damn and if a girl complained to him nothing was done - both in upscale and lesser clubs. As far as the customers go, generally speaking, if mgmt/bouncers aren't backing you up, you have to fend for yourself and the guys generally KNOW the staff at a particular club doesn't do anything....with lots of these guys, it is necessary to sink to their level to make them understand. When they don't chill out after 2 or 3 polite warnings, it's time for something different. Frankly I don't think a guy who thinks he can do whatever he wants to a girl just because she's working in a SC deserves much respect.

I had a manager that had a girl that had attempted to sue him for harrassment, but the court actually asked the girl what kind of environment did she think she would be working in? A church? At which point the case was thrown out and denied again in civil appeals.
So from the legal aspect, is there sexual harrassment? Good question, but if there's no case legally, then there shouldn't be a case when I shove my platform shoe so far up his ass, that it, like this case, that it will never be seen again!!

She should have kept appealing to higher courts. That is bullshit, that court is basically saying that certain members of society are denied BASIC CIVIL RIGHTS based on their PERFECTLY LEGAL job. If it were me, you'd STILL be hearing about it![]()

goes to Christy !
It's sad but true that men regularly think being in a stripclub gives them the right to sexualy harrass and even assault the dancers. And let me tell u more than one of them whose tried that shit on me has been made extremely sorry for his lapse in judgement.
I know what to call it that's for sure.... WRONG

Especially, if your married or with a significated other!
Sorry, excuse my spelling I didn't know we were getting graded on this.....

What does being married have to do with sexual harrassment in stripclubs? What the hell was the point of saying that Butchee ??? A single dancer can be harrassed just as easily as a married dancer .
And what does a manager who just happens to see dancers undressed as part of the job have to do with sexual harrassment ? I mean WTF Butchee ? Do you expect the managers to cover their eyes everytime a dancer disrobes in a stripclubHow could they possible do the job if the had their eyes coverd 85% of the time.
Butchee smells like a TROLL .

Just ignore Butchee; I've never seen him post anything useful either. Also, I think he's been taking spelling and grammar lessons from xxxeyez.

Although Butchee seems like a troll, some good points have been brought up in this thread. The legal system vs strippers.
I have always thought that I need to be a little more paraniod than I otherwise would like to be because if something bad does happen to me, I would have to first justify my job and my societial status to the "law" before my complaint would be taken seriously.
Say, for instance, my house is burglurized. This Buglury has nothing to do with me being a dancer, it is just a random crime. Once the officer finds out I am a dancer, then the question of drugs, and prostitution will come up. He may also question my co workers, the managers of the club etc. to find out if I was involved with either drugs or prostitution. If this crime is reported in the paper, it would be "Home of stripper burglurized" NOT "Local resident bulrgurized".
Even though what we do for a living is perfectly legal, we are still a pariah as far as most people are concerned.
A Dancer I worked with killed herself last year. She left a suicide note, and had planned her suicide ahead of time. Suddenly the cops are scouring the state trying to bust drug dealers and prostituion rings in connection to her death. She was mentally ill (clinical depression) and she killed herself. It is all just silly that they were trying to connect drugs and prostitution to her death, but this made for good press, and it also perpetuated the stereo type of strippers and strip clubs being bad for the community. When the case was dropped, do you think the papers printed on the front page that there was no connection to drugs or prostitution? No way. It was burried somwhere near the back where very few people read anyway.
Is this fair? Nope. but this is what you take on when you live on the fringe of society.
this was a silly question by Butchee, but it doesn't mean that this isn't a serious concern for ladies in our profession.
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!
Yes Paris, this thread is a good one, but IT hasnt added anything worth reading. Only the girls who have written are the ones who can take credit.
Butchee always starts controversial subjects to get a "rise" out of everyone. (LoL no pun intended)
