    Default anyone worked overseas?

    Hi ladies,
I met with an agent last night about working overseas and I am wondering if any of you have done this. It's all inclusive, travel and accomodations paid, and I am looking at Greece. DO any of you know anything about this sort of thing? I am always scepticle with this stuff, but I got a business card and a website and it all seems pretty legit.
    Any info?

Well, I'm about to do my first ''proper'' stint abroad from the UK (I'm not a US chick like most here).

I signed up with an agency and I'm going to Portugal. Difference with my contract is I had to pay my flight but everything else (accommodation) is at the expense of the club/agency. This is my first time with an agency so I can't offer much insight - sorry!!!

If you have cold feet about your agency, ask around. Email a ton of people. There are people who pose as agents and are only out to scam you so try and get a reputable agency or one where the owners are well known within the business.

If you get a nice agent, it takes the headache out of organising your trip because they will arrange directly with the club on your behalf.

Anyway, good luck! I hope other people can help you more!! xx

What is the agency? I wouldn't go with anyone but a well-known agency.

I cant say much for Greece, two separate incidents involving dancers working over there from Canada included Jail time and a club mgr and his friends raped and held a dancer over a weekend.

That very same girl came to me months later when she heard about me going to feature and told me it was NOT in my best interest.

To counteract though I have heard girls bank quite well if you fit the mold. I don't know I cant say but I renegged on my deal to go.

Janet from the best dancers is a good source - I too suggest contacting her.

Here are a few posts about Greek club experiences from the "club" section. From the comments, it would appear that your 2 biggest issues will probably be the need for a work visa (from your profile I assume that you're a Canadian citizen ?), and the relatively poor earnings potential. However, if you're looking for a "working vacation" for a month on a Greek Island, and you're more interested in seeing part of Greece than earning money, this might be a good option.

    hi

personally i would not recommend working in greece at all... it was where i started out dancing and i had some bad experiences there and the money was awful.

if you have to go anywhere, there is a club on syngrou avenue called Baby O, which (as far as i know, not sure if it still is) is run by an american and seemed to be professional enough, although i never worked there as i had given up on greece by then and was moving to the UK.

if you do decide to work in athens please be very careful, and whatever you do, and DON'T give anyone your passport!!

    take care

No it has nothing to do whit the type of European Women!

We have 4 black beautiful dancers at our club!!!!

I mean with "European dancers only" Dancers with a European Passport because it is very difficult to make working promissions here in Greece.

If you are black, white or yellow it doesn't mind

I am half Brazilian but my mother is from Holland/The Netherlands and i got a dutch(Netherlands) passport. so my working Promissions was ready in 3 day's!!! for Non-European it wil take maybe up to 1 or 2 months.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I work at Diamonds and Pearls in Heraclion

We had the same club also in Athens but we closed it because of the high concurrence.

The most good clubs are closed now because Athens have to many nasty "cheap" clubs with a lot of dancers who do that kind of extra things (if you understand what i mean) The Most clubs there are not only full strip but also full touch!
And the money is not that high any more you get around 60 euro salary even if you are a professional dancer and each dance or drink you make you get 3 euro's

Better for you is to go to the islands of Greece.
On Crete they have the Football competition so imagining how busy it gone be

And by the way in the summertime believe me everyone gone stay on a island and not in a city with no beaches
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

in our club there are al camara's around even in the private rooms! And we make only topless! and Diamonds is a very popular club. we are in the center next to the port so many tourist all true the year.

WHY EUROPEAN WOMEN ONLY? because we have a lot of non European!
(and because of the papers, Greece is a difficult country specialy for strippers!) to get te working promisions takes you a month waiting time.

Before 6 years we had a lott of girls from Cannada because it was more easy to get the promisions. Latoya Jackson made a show in Diamonds and some other famous dancers.... But now time changed and everything is more strickt and a lott of rules. but for a dancer thats good because you woun't have problems with costumers who like to touch you all the time!! you just show him the camara's and oh then they are so sweet....and the hands are no around you anymore. I love this club really i went in many other clubs, but the atmospheer is not the same maybe the money is a little higher but come on do you like to work in a club where you don't feel good? We have a lot party's and inside the club you can dance drink and have fun without a angry boss who is looking at you.
no here i feel free i work for myself nobody tell me anything and i have a good time and here the sun is alway's shining.

AND very important, Greece is not expensive at all so that's why I LOVE IT (**,)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Diamonds and Pearls in Greece i work 6 day's 7 hours min: 250 euro every night. the club covers salary, hotel and airfare. we have 13 girls at the moment so everyone makes that much 4 sure! they are opening a 5 star hotel next door so next month i aspect more $$$$$
