Hi,
Just moved here to Columbia, Maryland and was wondering if anyone knew of any good stripper clothing stores in the Maryland or DC area. I like to try stuff on before I buy it.
Thanks,
Miss SHelby

Miss Shelby,
Most of the purchasing in this area is done in the clubs - there are several "costume ladies" that go from club to club while you work and bring a suitcase or two of clothing... everything from dresses to thongs to garters to stockings.
There is also a store opened in VA by a dancer - Rio's Fantasy Apparel - and she has a wide range of products, from shoes to costumes. She also sends a couple of people around to the clubs with clothes and catalogues from which you can order. I think its great to support another girl, especially one that is being so enterprising!
Depending on what you want to spend, there are a couple of stores in Georgetown that sell clothes...
Dream Dresser is my favorite, but the clothes are so expensive that I hate to use them for work! More for fun, in my book
Pleasure Place has a small selection, at reasonable prices, as does Sinsations, which offers a dancer discount. All three of these stores are on the same block in Georgetown - Wisconsin Avenue between M and K Streets.
In Bethesda, MD, and the Tysons Corner area in VA, there is a Night Dreams. They also offer reasonable prices, a larger selection and a dancer discount.
Hope this is helpful!

Hey. I just started dancing in Baltimore, but stay in Pg County. I usually get my outfits from Beltway Plaza Mall - Luv-N-Time. Do you know where I could learn how to do pole work?
Hi,
Thanks for the info.
No, I don't know anything about pole work. I would put a post up about it on this site. I think there are video instructional tapes out there.

There is a store .....I only know how to get to one way. I think it is called sassy Lingeri.....it is owned by a dancer that works at McDoogles in Pasadena Maryland, named Tina. it has strange hours..like 12-5 or something. I am not sure if it is still there because I havent danced in MD in 4 years...but it is located....
well if you are driving down Richie Highway (rt 2 N) heading to baltimore, take a left on Aquaheart Rd in Glen Burnie....go all the way thru..you will come to a light for rt3 and Aquaheart...go thru that light (dont turn on 3) and it should be on the left in a little shopping center. kinda tricky to find..but its almost right there once you go thru the light. Good luck...
sorry if my post was confussing

otherwise...always fun to take a trip to philly...many good stores on south street..you cant miss them
is this the same brooke i use to work with at nexus ?
Ivy - different Brooke, sorry! I work at JP's... haven't given Nexus a try yet... VIP rooms scare me!

DO any of these stores still exist? I need to find some clothes ASAP. My first shift is Monday and I only have one mediocre outfit.

I think Rio's store is unfortunately closed, but all clubs still have costume ladies coming in a few times a week selling costumes. That's as far as DC goes.Baltimore I think has some stores with costumes/shoes,but I'm not sure where they are.You can always go to Victoria's Secret to get something if you need just one outfit.
Last time I was in Georgetown, Dream Dresser was gone.

Dream Dresser has been gone for like 3 years, unfortunately.Great store with high quality items, but very expensive. They used to have runway shows at the old 5th column years ago (I did one).Pleasure place is still open though, and they have another location on Dupont (connecticut Av).

well, in baltimore i go to firefly on eastern ave. thats where i get all my stuff![]()
Thanks a lot! That helps me a ton. I'm interested in seeing how much I can make at the club. What is a lousy night even? I'm SOOO excited, I can't wait to start dancing.
Next week will be hard though since I'll be working all 3 jobs that week. (one f/t, 1 part time, 3 nights at the club)
It's going to be a rough week....but I'm ready to go for it!
