    Default Old Friends

I was just on the phone with an old friend from high school/middlle school and I don't keep up with hardly anybody from past learning institutions, but apparently she has the "down low" I guess on everyone we've ever known (we went to school together from 1st to 12th grades), but she says that people are saying that I'm a "wild child" now. Personally I think it's funny that people in my past have actually paid that much attention to me because I haven't thought even once about any of them. Has anything like this ever happened to you? Just wondering.

Yea, constantly. Unfortunately, people love to gossip about strippers. We live lives of mystery to them. We are points of focus because their own lives are so drab. You're busy living, and they're busy talking about you. People in my small hometown think I am a wildchild as well; I'm sure I've been called worse by some of them. The town I live in is the gossipiest place on earth; unfortunately everyone here thinks they know more about my past than I do. In our line of work, we put ourselves out there in the spotlight to be put under a microscope, ridiculed, judged and talked about, and alot more people know us than we know. Just hold your head high, and go about your business. That's what your life is, your business!

I've said this before here: Life is for living, not for worrying about what others think.

    Chat it up, losers!

Life expierence has taught me that people will be talking about you no matter what your situation is.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Yeah, ignore it. I live in a small town in the country and I work hard to keep everyone from knowing I dance- it would be too much crap to deal with. Keep in mind though, some women secretly envy dancers- I've met them.

It's completely normal hun, I wouldn't worry at all.

When I went to my 5 year reunion back in '98, and everyone found out my er.. profession, they said "I knew it! It's always the quiet ones!" Not sure if that's really true, but all throughout school, I was sweet and innocent, my teachers called me a troublemaker, (jokingly of course), and I pretty much got a long with everyone. It's cool though, because I didn't graduate with my class. I had gotten married in the 10th grade, but they all tracked me down around reunion time and made me go. LOL
