I havn't heard toxic in the club, but I expect to. I don't think it's too fast. Most any upbeat pop tune will work. And if they allude to sex, getting naked etc... even better.

I've heard Toxic at work alot. It's a good SC song. You don't necessarily want to dance to slow music, because that can often put the crowd to sleep - no matter how good a dancer you are, SC crowds generally do best with something a bit more upbeat. You don't have to necessarily dance in time with the music. You can go along perfectly well with the music by moving at half the speed of the song playing - for example you complete one movement in two beats, or maybe even 4 beats. I don't think anyone really counts beats as they're dancing, it's something you pick up.

Don't worry so much about perfecting your dancing before you start. You'll learn much more in your first week dancing, by watching others and practicing at work, interacting with customers, than you'll learn in 2 months practicing at home.

I just have to say that I heard Toxic in a clothing store last week and I almost started taking of my clothes cause I hear that song so much in the Strip Clubs...and I'm not a dancer yet lol. As a matter of fact, my friend and I only refer to it as the stripper song now. Keep in mind that a dancer may already be using that song in her set at the club you choose so pick out other songs for when you get hired. Good luck!!

I dance to Toxic a lot... I am not a Britney fan by any means but this last CD she put out has a lot of good songs on it. Its worth the money, and there are other songs on it that work well in the club.
