Hey when I first started dancing, after about 3 or 4 days of working, it seemed like my toes went numb! It was really weird... a few other girls said the same thing happened to them also. Has it happened to you ladies?

ok, I'm not a stripper so I don't wear the shoes, but I've been getting numb toes a LOT lately! The outer half of my foot just goes completely numb. I can't explain it and it certainly isn't comfortable (I feel your pain--no pun intended). I would say that for YOU, it probably has something to do with you shoes. But, then again, maybe not because I'm getting the same darn thing!

its prolly from the shoes squishing your toes plus the fact that you walk on your toes. you will probably either get used to it (you'll see you feet will change shape)... or you need to get a diffrent size shoe.......
Yeah, that happened to me too, I had to buy different shoes. Your current pair probably put pressure on certain nerves...low-heel boots with socks and foot powder are the most foot friendly way to dance.

if it's not the shoe itself, it could just be that you aren't used to walking in it. i know that when i first had 6"ers, i'd walk and stand oddly, putting too much pressure on the ball of my foot, which made some of my toes go numb. try practicing in them around the house, standing, walking, dancing, etc for a few minutes, then sitting.
first walk barefoot. notice how your knee is a hinge, it moves. notice how your heel hits the ground before the rest of your foot. this is how you should walk in heels. you can always tell who isn't used to wearing them...they have stiff knees and move their legs only from the hips, like barbie dolls. they hit the floor flatfooted. their hips are stiff, instead of swinging from side to side sensually the way they should when you wear heels. they also are very, very likely to be in pain after a while.
maybe you don't do the weird stiff walk, but this is usually one of the more common causes of numbness, as well as the standing position that accompanies it. so check. you might not even know you're doing it.
