i'm a pale girl...by choice. i could tan, and i might eventually decide to, cos it would make me look more toned.
i was just wondering who else out there was pale, and more importantly, whether/how much that effects your income.
thanx

I've been thinking about that a bit lately...I'm pale and usually self-tan, but this week I've been reveling in my blinding whiteness, partly out of laziness and partly out of experimentation. I can honestly say that so far my earnings are not up to par BUT I'm getting a lot more compliments on my 'beauty' than normal. *shrug*, so I wouldn't call that successful, but we'll see how the rest of the week goes.
I've also had a lot of comments from dancers and friends about my pasty whiteness, but always qualified by saying 'but it suits you!' *eye roll*![]()

I am very pale... you know how books arent quite white? well i am lighter then that, but darker then white white paper... if i stand to close to a blacklight i glow!!! when i danced in fl everyone was super tan and they said i should to, i kept saying "I like my gothic tan"... i think natural skin tone is nice, no matter what shade that is. up north more girls are lighter so i dont stand out as much. but that also made me diffrent down there...

I just say something on tv wear they tested that aeresol spray tan and the women REALLY liked it.
I prefer a base tan at all times. Overdoing the bed looks aweful. Some girls just don't get that.
Sorry but I am not an ultra light lover but it can definetely still work.
Those who bring sunshine into lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves.
I think it has to suit your look. Personally, I don't see a difference in income when I tan versus when I don't, but I feel much sexier with a tan because it suits me since I've kind of got a California sorority girl look about me (much do my dismay).
I think that anything that makes you feel sexier is to your benefit.
I'm blindingly white. I even joke about being albino. :p I'm debating on whether or not I want to tan when I start dancing. I've never had a good experience with self-tanners, and even if I found one I really liked, I doubt I'd keep up with it because I'm lazy about stuff like that. But I also don't want the skin damage from a real tan.
i get frekles really easy and i dont like them... so thats another reason i dont tan....
Well, this week DID suck...I think my paleness had a bit to do with it, because my bruising showed (I'm clumsy and do lots of pole stuff- bad combo for bruising!), and guys kept taking me aside to ask if my boyfriend beats me. It pissed me off to no end. So i'm gonna lie out in the sun a bit tomorrow to get a base, then start slathering the self-tanner on again.

I'm butt-white, and I do think I look a lot healthier when I Mystic Tan.
However, I'm cheap and I hate at-home self tanners (make me look patchy and jaundiced) so I'm trying to embrace my porcelain skin.![]()

again, I'm not a stripper so I really can't say anything about the effects on income, but I am DEATHLY pale. I am blonde with blue eyes. You can see all of my veins especially on my chest and under my eyes. I am so pale, in fact, that I CAN'T tan. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is it even possible for my skin to naturally darken. When I burn, it gets bright red, fades to pink, then back to white. At least my sister, who is just as pale as I am, can go out, get severely burned and then become tan after that. However, she's also had about 8 "suspiscious" moles removed and she is only 18 (I probably need to have a bunch removed too but I don't have the money for that). My ONLY option would be a chemical tan (Mystic, etc), and I'm not about to do that either (who KNOWS what that stuff can do to you....in 5 or 10 years when a ton of people start having severe reactions to it, they'll pay more attention to what those chemicals do to people). For now, I'll stay pastey....been that way for 22 years....some people say I look like a porcelain doll, others say I look like Queen Elizabeth (which I fear is NOT a compliment, but who knows), while many say "damn you need a tan!"

I'm whiter than anything. I couldn't tan if my life depended on it. But, I don't even try to tan, as there's a history of Skin Cancer in my family. It's never hurt my earnings though, as it's always been something that sets me apart from the rest. I've been called "Casper", and sometimes even "Morticia" for some reason. LOL.
What really sucks is that I'm 100% Sicilian, and I'm pasty white! Grrr.. lol
One of these days, just for fun, I'm going to go hop into a Mystic Tan just to say I did it. Knowing me, I'll probably hate myself with color, and want it to immediately go away. hehe.
I hope you'll embrace your pale skin. my best friend has milk white skin, and she's beautiful. I have appropriately tan Mexican skin, but I get weird little moles popping up when I get in the sun too much. Sun causes wrinkles, too!
I noticed a huge jump in income when I got a tan. I had pretty white skin, too which got me modeling jobs when I was younger but I think in the market I dance in, my dark hair and light skin is too goth for these guys' tastes. So my Native American blood beat out my Sacndinavian blood... lol!
