Does anyone have any good recommendations to watch or read for entertainment?
I read this novel called Bad Girlz last week. It was all right but I wouldn't recomment it. I also liked the player's club. Well let me know your suggestions!

Well, I loved Showgirls but most people think it sucks but with Gina Gershon, no way![]()
Check out "gypsy" it's an older movie (musical) with Natalie Wood that tells the true story of one of the country's first famous stripper. There is also the "Josephine Baker" story which is about a beautiful woman of color who became famous in France, but was a scandal when she came back to the US (still segragated at that time) Any of you sexy black ladies out there who wanted to see the famous "banana dance" need to rent it! She's the original booty shake girl![]()
No matter what they teach you, what you believe is true......
Thanks guys, I'll check them out.
Jenn, I have the Josephine Baker Story on tape. I enjoyed the film too. I particularly like Lynn Whitfield as well..![]()
I liked Dancing At the Blue Iguana. It has a great cast which includes Darryl Hannah and Jennifer Tilly. From what I read it started out as an actor's improv workshop in L.A. and from what I understood the actors each created their own characters.
I also remember liking alot of the music in the film but never could find the soundtrack anywhere! ???
there is a documentry called "stripped, a documentry" its really really crap, made in the early/mid 90s.
Did that come on Showtime? If we're thinking of the same one, I watched a few minutes of it on showtime and didn't like it either.Originally Posted by mermaidnz link=board=27;threadid=8603;start=msg101448#msg101 448 date=1082949763

The Night They Raided Minsky's
It's an older movie made in the late 60's about a Vaudville style theatre that gets busted. Some of it is campy, not unlike Moulin Rouge in some ways, but I'll tell you the last 30 mins are just fantasticand a must see for any stripper .
It's stars Jason Robbards and the female lead is some hot little redhead![]()

Naked Is The Best Disguise - autobiographical story about a young stripper in the sixties (I think?)
Strip City - autobiographical story of a strippers "farewell journey" stripping across america. More current.
Ivy League Stripper - autobiographical story of a good girl who strips her way through Brown.
The best one of course is the Demi Moore movie from like ten years ago... I forget what it was called though. Striptease?
