    Default Killer Cravings!!!

    I am a terrible dieter, but I need to, otherwise junk-food runs my life, I'll eat it before and after EVERY meal!!!! I get cravings for things as terrible as girls do when their pregnant, and will panic and drive all over the place to find what I want! Any tips to help curb cravings and get on the right track? a

    Keep a journal and write down WHY you are craving it. For cravings like that, it's usually an emotional reason. Otherwise, your body may be telling you that you are needing something. Sometimes our bodies will crave sugar for more energy, however, instead of grabbing candy or donuts, etc, eat something sweet like oranges or mangos, etc. You'll probably find that you feel better and that the sweet craving is curbed. If not, then you really need to journal and see what emotional state you find yourself in during those cravings.

    gosh, I've practically overcome my chocolate craving, but this weekend, I've found myself buying it for no reason whatsoever! I don't even feel like eating it!! What is wrong with me? I think I have a shopoholic problem with the 'forbidden foods' lol!



    And the terrible thing is I NEED to firm up - like, NOW (and I know it)!! I think I'm such an idiot sometimes.

    yeah, try to eat something healthy that has similar properties as what you are craveing. a journal is a good idea. and if you cant figure it out on your own, a friend or doctor can look at what you wrote and maybe talk with you and help you figure it out. you may also be craveing the artificial things in junk food, thats bad, thats really why junk sucks.

    my mom owned vending machines when i was growing up, she never cooked so i lived off vending machine fair from about 8 years old till i could drive and get my own food. for a while i was addicted to honey buns. those 900 calorie dough and sugar things. i ate one every day. and that was about all i ate. it was horrible, but it tasted sooooo good.

    some suggestions for replacements:
    candy=juice, fresh fruit, canned fruit
    doughnuts=pasta, a sandwich
    chips=baked potato
    chocolate=chocolate (its really not bad for you, just dont overdo it), or perhaps those cool new chocolate calicum chews

    chronium is a natural vitamin and it helps curb sugar cravings. You can get it from health food stores. It worked for me!

    I'm addicted to Equal instead of sugar now. Eat fruit. Like Ryan says.. Also, high fiber food can keep you filled all morning- oatmeal, bran flakes, whole grain bread....drink lots of water too.
