    Default Dealing With Managers

    :'( ???
I just started dancing (newbie) at a nice little place that treats me great but its always slow and it's mostly $1 dollar tippers. I wanna make some money but I don't want to have to deal with all the stuff I've heard rumors about from the managers taking you in the back and making you perform stuff you wouldn't normally do. I've met some of the floor managers from other clubs and they can be extremely arrogant and rude on the floor, so I can just imagine behind closed doors.

Do I stay safe and starve, or risk dealing with predator managers and lie to my boyfriend? And how accurate are the rumors? Thanks!

Wow. Don't lie to your boyfriend. Bad idea. I'd look for a new club or a new job if you can't find one. My managers and bouncers are great and would never do such a thing. They treat us with the utmost respect. Good luck!

They might be just rumors but if they turn out to be true then you need to leave immediately! You should be able to come to your boyfriend and tell him this..tell him to get another job and help you out if your struggling.

Don't lie to your bf!! Bad thought, just erase it! And don't fret about leaving your club now. Just be very kind how you go about it. Explain to them how you like them & the atmosphere...but you need more income. Of course, don't quit until you have found another club. As to finding another club, rumors are always just spoken crap until you go and check out a club.

My bouncers and managers are friggin awesome, they're like big brothers! They make sure we are well taken care of and very safe and wouldn't do anything behind the scenes, ever!

There are always going to be bad apples no matter where you work. Unfortunately, this industry breeds them a bit more than normal. However, understand that the scumbag managers are not as common as you might thing. There are always exceptions to the rule, and yet for the most part, the management is there to make sure the club is making money (which is how they get bonuses) and that the girls are safe and the customers happy. That's the bottom line. Should you ever be approached by a manager asking for some extra services, go elsewhere. It's completely unacceptable and there is no reason you need to have a "take one for the team" mentality. Should that happen, leave to another club immediately.

Thanks for making me feel better. Is there any difference in the nude clubs vs. topless? Whats the worst thing I should prepare myself for?

Go to a different club where you make money and where the management supports you in doing that. It will make such a difference in how you feel about going into work.

There are so many different clubs, it's hard to make a comparision just based on 'nude' or 'topless'. I prefer working at a nude club b/c the guys don't drink (though this may be different where you are). Remember, you are a free-contractor, so you can check out as many clubs as you want and find the one that's right for you! Don't feel like you ever have to stay somewhere that you're not happy.

Why would messing around with the manager cause you to make more money? That doesn't make sense!! You are not a little girl, you don't have to do anything you don't want to. If you are not making money just go to a different club. If managers everywhere are rude to you it may be you and not them.

Managers at strip clubs can be arrogant but as long as you are professional and not rude to them you shouldn't have a problem.
