Default Very New! Have a question.

    Hey everyone,
Ever since I found out how much my sister's roommate is making dancing, and that she actually likes what she's doing etc. I thought that it would be a really good way to make some money. Anyways, I have one problem, she's tiny...and i'm not. I am working on dropping some weight before I start dancing, but could I get some opinions from you girls? You know what makes money and what doesn't in this business...I have more pictures at this address:
    http://profiles.yahoo.com/tiff_7_17
There is a whole photo album in there (go to view my photos on the left) If I could get some constructive criticism or any comments (honest ones!) That would be so helpful to me! I'm fully clothed in all of the pics (I seriously had trouble finding full body ones) So once my digital camera works again I can get ones with less clothes on lol.
    Thanks everyone!
    Tiff

I agree - you are beautiful
One thing I can say though, if you feel like you don't like how you look, that will show.
You are so pretty - act like you know it
    good luck!

You're a very gorgeous doll! And I don't think you're weight/height should be anything of an issue. I'm 5'11" & 140 (sometimes a lil more or less). Most of my weight's in the butt/thighs area as well. G'luck.

I have seen heavier girls dancing and making insane amounts of money. The difference is in their confidence. There are girls out there dancing who are model thin and beautiful...but don't make any money because they think they "need to look better". If you have the confidence in yourself...dance sexy/sensually onstage, connect with the customers, then you are almost guaranteed to make money!!

Just do it!! You are beautiful and I don't think that you would have any problems making money dancing (unless you show that you do not have a lot of confidence in your body).

    Good luck!!!

    Absolutely gorgeous, Hunny!

    You'll do great!

That picture you have up on your yahoo profile, reminds me of Laura Prepon for some reason, it may be the eyes. She plays Donna on "That 70's Show". She's hot.

    Welcome to SW!

I think you are very pretty. You shouldn't have any problems at all.

also, remember that once you start you will lose weight and tone up. it's like exercising (sp?) all night.

    Go for it!!

You look great, Tiff, so you should do fine. You may want to prepare your body for the physical stresses of dancing and reduce the possibility of injury by working on your overall endurance, tone, and flexibility, but overall, your body looks wonderful.

I definitely agree with Kryssy and HollyinCO. I haven't even started dancing yet b/c I am gettign a BA next month, but I have been "practicing" and already feel mored toned. Definitely work on stretching and flexibilty. Stretching your muscles well can make you look taller and sleeker since it kinda lengthens them. And keep in mind the shoes help too!! And your face is enough to keep the guys looking, so I say prepare yourself, and jump in!!

PS this is off topic but if you haven't thought of names yet, I thought of the name Shauna when I first saw your pic!

I agree with the others. You are a very beautiful girl. I held off from dancing for a long time because I thought I was too big (5'6" and 135 pounds, hourglass figure but big hips, thighs and butt). I went to the club last weekend to check it out, and the owner hired me on the spot. I start in 2 weeks. And you are smaller and prettier than I am. So go make that money sweetie!

Another thing, the dancers at the club told me they all lost weight when they started because it's so much exercise. Hmm, getting paid to tone up? Yes please!

LOL Exactly.. That's one of the wonderful perks. You find muscles you never thought you had. Your legs will be rock-hard, as well as your tummy.

Oh my gosh, all of you are so nice! Thank you for all the compliments! I'll take that stretching advice, I used to stretch all the time (I practiced martial arts) and the lengthening of the muscles part is totally true, also I tried today and my splits definitely need some work.

What is the usual protocal with pole work? I've heard dancers say you don't need to start with it right away...but how and when do you have the time to learn it?
    Thanks gals,
    Tiff

    Hey hon..

The pole work depends on the type of club you try for. Most gown clubs that I've heard of don't allow pole work or floor work. They just pretty much want you to strut around on stage and look pretty. There are a few clubs that do require both floor & pole work however.

When I first started dancing, I didn't do the pole. It scared me to be honest. LOL. But after a few weeks, I was swinging around on it like a seasoned pro. If you happen to dance at a club with polework and floorwork, just keep your eye on what the other girls are doing. You'll learn from them.
