    Default I'm feeling blue...

Ok...went into work last night...after house fee and tip outs, I walked away with $115. That's the worst night I've ever had. We had an "incentive" dance...buy a dance get a shirt...I got turned down by every guy in the place. That's never happened before. THEN, this group of out-of-towners comes in...they pick 8 girls and take them up to VIP for the night...the average net for them was $1500!!! ARGH!!! I was busting my ass on the floor...and I couldn't seem to get a damn dance!! THEN, the DJ put me up on the main stage ONCE ALL NIGHT!! ONE TIME!!! At the time, I didn't care, cuz I was pissed and I didn't want to even be there. So...I'm thinking that maybe I jinxed myself. I'm just feeling kind of bad right now...I can't believe I got turned down sooooo many times. ???

Sorry...just had to vent a bit...

Damn.. it must be in the air, cause all of us didn't do jack shit last night either at my club.

We had a feature though, which is usually the case when we have the porn stars in. The guys all come out for that and nothing else.

I'm sorry you had a bad night. I think we've all had nights like you've mentioned.

A few months ago we had a group come in and they picked out six of us girls to sit with them in the VIP booth, then they narrowed it down to four girls and then took those four girls and spent a butt load on them. I was pissed that I had sat there and wasted an hour of my time to be in some "contest" of which girl to pick.

Its not you, its just the way the night has gone. I have seen so much rejection on some nights that I have been frustrated to tears and then on other nights, I see other girls being rejected and they feel the same way.

    Hang in there

Nights like this happen to everyone so don't focus on it the next time you go in and you'll be fine. Remember that you were probably not the only girl in the club who had a challenging night and also remember the girls who did really good may not make as much as you on another night. Don't let it get you down, and start in fresh the next time you go to the club. Just remember the last time you walked home with $700 or $1000, there were probably a handful of other dancers wondering why they only made $100 all night. Don't stress over the small losses, rather focus on the victories. Trust me, you'll be awesome the next night you go in, I just know it!

Aaaawwww....girls, I understand exactly how you feel! Last night, a bunch of 18 year olds came in, cheap bastards, sat right up in front by the stage, didn't even tip, acted like they were PRIVILEGED to free entertainment, even came in with free passes!!! Then there are the regulars, not that I'm hatin on them, but I don't really like to become anyone's ATF, just too personal and not my style, but several came in and spent all the $$$ on their ATFs.
Funny thing is, the night before, I made like $800, so it just tells you that each night is soo different, so one bad night is just that, and the next night, trust me, you'll be making $$$ again.

It's all good ladies, but the good thing to remember is that the past doesn't equal the future and tomorrow holds a whole NEW start and a NEW beginning!

But hey when you depend on someone else's opinion mood and personal taste to decide your fate that's what you gotta expect...Right!

It happens, this is always the worst time of year, besides Christmas, it should pick up around the second week in May, which is just around the corner!

That happens in this business. Let me tell you even though it obviously is no consellation to you is that if $115 after payout is the WORST you have ever made you are doing better than 95% of all dancers.

I had a night like yours last week and didn't sell one guy in 6 hours. I was depressed too really bad. I went home with -$75 for the night. We also had more girls than customers.

But you are an intelligent girl and if you analyze the situation you will see that it has nothing to do with you.

I was talking with several girls yesterday at work here in Vegas because it was very slow. The last Friday I worked I made $600 after payout and this Friday only $73.They told me it's like that here. One day you will not make payout back, the next day you will make maybe $20-$40, and then the next $500-$600.

In Houston the girls say the same thing. I quote. " Every day you won't make money. Your money comes in lump sums and some days those types of customers are not in the club. You just have to accept that."

You first off mentioned that the 8 out of town money guys CHOSE 8 girls. Those girls did not use their selling skills to get chosen. The guys picked them.

How many girls were working that night and how many customers were in the club?

Break down the ages of the customers? How many were younger guys?

    How many were in groups?

How many were the local hanger outers?

You work in VIP right? Even though that is an upscale club, every night doesn't have as many upscale customers.

In a big club we are not the only fish in the sea. Other girls are pretty too. We can't appeal to everyone.

Did every guy who turned you down for a dance buy from another girl or did lots of them not buy from anyone?

Did you let your discouragement stop you from being persistent in selling the guys? I did that last week when I couldn't sell. The guys were not receptive to me and I didn't persist as much as I should.

When guys have a lot to look at in a club it slows down their buying decisions.

Every customer doesn't have as much money to blow as the next guy. With 80 girls on the floor or however many you had, many guys want to be sure before they spend.

Clubs are slower now than they were several years ago and there is more competition. How many guys are going to come in nightly with $1500 to spend on each dancer.

As Dancer Wealth said, some nights you got a good customer and the other girls didn't make payout back.

There just aren't as many prime customers hitting the clubs nowadays so that every girl in the club can do well every night.

That is why you didn't make what you hoped for. It's not you.

The next day after I couldn't sell anyone, my FIRST customer, an older guy bought 6 $10 dances on the floor from me(Dances are half price on the floor during the day).

The next morning he bought 4 $20 dances from me and gave me $200, and said "I like you, you are different than a lot of the dancers here."

I know you are frustrated, but don't be blue, it's not you. If you had more customers with money to go around you would have done ok.

Thanks, everyone. I go in again, tonight...and I am gearing up for a busy night!

Tina...I did start loosing my oomph at about midnight. I stopped selling hard and pretty much went upstairs for a while a licked my wounded ego, LOL.

It did seem that this past Thursday night was blonde night, though. I had almost every guy that turned me down get a dance with the very next dancer if she was blonde. Kinda makes me wish I had a blonde wig in my bag. LOL

The funny thing is, that I came home with $700 on a Sunday and I remember hearing some of the girls that banked last night complain how they didn't make any money (Sunday was pretty dead and there were WAY more gals to guys). I just happened to appeal to the one guy who had $1000 in cash and spent it all in one place. So, you are (all) right...it wasn't me...the tide ebbs and flows. It still sucks though.

Thanks for letting me rant. I feel so much better, now!! Tonight I'm going in and having a great night!
