Default I just need some clarification and advice, please...

    Hi,

I know that I am new, and I feel like a jerk asking questions right off the bat! I read through most of the forums, though, and haven't found my answers yet.

I have never danced before, and I need to go to a place that is far away enough to be discreet for me. And the places that are within the area are 'pastie' clubs. Now I know what pasties mean, but I am assuming that on the bottom you can wear panties and garters, ect?

I think that might be good for me, as I am starting this out at the tender age of 29, and I think until my booty looses a little, it is best to cover it.

And I would like to add that I am really impressed with this forum.

One last dumb question....is there anyway that clubs ever let you NOT work on the stage at first...its a little scary to me!

Thanks in advance for all your help!

    Hey Hon,
    Welcome to SW.

With pasties clubs, you're correct. You wear bikini bottoms/g-strings/thongs. The type of bottoms you wear depend on what area you work in, and what the ordinances are, as to what needs to be covered up.

29 is a great age, heh.. I'm hitting 30 in September.

It is possible to have the DJs keep you off the stage, but of course, you may need to compensate them to skip you in the rotation. I don't know how long you'd be able to do that for though.

You should do well in any case though, hon. I hope I've helped a bit. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Everyone on here is extremely helpful and there when you need them.

    Welcome again!

But on the other hand, I know alot of club managers will watch for the "new girl" to go on stage, and it's not always allowed to not go up. Make sure that you wont get in trouble with the mgmt before you throw the dj some cash. Also, everyone is scared their first few times on stage, you're gonna have to go up eventually! Good Luck!

Places I'ved worked, $20 to the DJ let you skip your turn on stage. If you're with a guy spending money on you, or a regular, the $20 can be a good investment. Say the club has three stages and the girls are doing two song sets. It might take you 30 minutes to make your way around the various stages, go back and freshen up and then get out on the floor and hustle. How many lap dances could you have sold in that same 30 minutes at $20 a piece?

However, I think Pan Dah is right, as a new girl, you should get up on stage and let potential customers see you! The DJ will probably make a big deal over you, announcing that you are new and all, which will help you stand out in the crowd. Plus, some guys make it a point to get at least one lap dance from the new girl. Having some guys on the floor that are already looking to give the new girl a chance can really help you as you learn to hustle.

I'm beginning to think that every question asked on this site has the same answer:

    "It depends on your club".

As a new dancer though I would think you are better off getting a bit more stage time. That seems to be where most guys notice a dancer first, making sales of private dances a bit easier. This isn't true if you get a bunch of regulars of course, but that won't be how you start out.
Although an easy answer, there really is a lot of truth to the "it depends on your club" response. I can't tell you how many different goofy rules I've heard on how clubs are run. It's often rare to find two different clubs that have identical types of policies that aren't owned by the same person. Many of these types of questions that appear on SW sincerely does depend on your club. For example, I know of many clubs that are comfortable with the dancers not going on stage at all provided they pay a small additional house fee and there are some clubs that require all dancers to go on stage provided they aren't busy with a customer in the VIP room. So sometimes, it really does depend on your club. This is why it's so important to talk to the management of the club you are working at to know all the rules going in. That's what they are there for.

    Hi Redmonster!
I work at a pastie club and t-bar club in Virginia. What state are you in? If it's Va let me know and I can answer any questions you have.
AS for not going on stage most of the places I've worked at you have to do your stage time unless you're in the VIP room.

    Good luck!

I am in Illinois, but will be dancing in Indiana. The most feasible for me is Hammond, because it is only about 30 minutes away. I haven't found a lot of info on here for that area or those clubs, none are reviewed.

But any info would be great!

And I have learned new things here already, other than house fees, I thought all kind of had the same genere rules!

    oopsie!

    Your patience is appreciated.

It's very rare when I have heard of a club that doesn't have at least one goofy rule that the others don't. My favorite one is from one of the clubs here in Vegas called Sapphires. It's actually the largest gentlemen's club in the world and boy do they have some goofy rules. My favorite is how, for a dancer to take a guy into the VIP room, it's $100 for three songs. Not too crazy so far, right? Well, then they make the guy buy a 2 drink minimum and then they charge him double for each drink. So, alcoholic or not, each drink is $13.00. So, to get a guy in there, you have to tell him it's $100 for three songs plus he has to buy two drinks at $13 each bringing his grand total to an oddball amount of $126.00!

The solution to this issue was actually quite simple and involved a time-tested sales technique. To hear the answer though, you'll have to wait a week or two until our article on this issue appears on SW.

What you wear for bottoms depends on the area, local laws, etc. In a pastie club you will definitely have to wear some kind of bottom, most likely a thong, but in some areas full bottoms are necessary. You can't wear regular panties/thong in these places, and you wouldn't want to, as they will not stay in place and give the proper coverage. The bottoms you want are more like swimsuit bottoms, much more sturdy than regular panties. You can get them at the same places you get the pasties.

Many clubs will allow you to skip stage when you're new. Just ask the manager - if he oks it, you don't have to pay extra to the DJ for skipping you. If not, in many clubs you can pay the DJ like $20 to skip you on stage. This generally depends on the size of the club though - if it's a place that runs 10 or so girls on shift, you'll most likely have to skip stage. If they run more, like 30+ girls on shift, you're more likely to get to skip stage. BUT, even in the smaller clubs, many mangers will let a newbie skip stage for her first couple days. Ask.

Best way to find out what the deal is in your area is to go to the clubs and watch/ask. Good luck!
