    Default Unemployed....

So ~ I wanted to work at Club O in Harvey IL (CHICAGO)... I got in. Buut, I just quit tonight...my second night. IT's suppose to be a big money club!! I only made 100$ my first night... and tonight I only stayed around for 2 1/2 hours... but NOBODY would frickin buy from me!!! I think it's cos the other girls are more "fakey gorgeous/showgirly". Well, 3/4 of them at least. Me on the other hand, I got small boobs & wear just like foundation, eye makeup, & lip gloss. The other dances, seem to have a lot of facial makeup, big boobs, fake boobs, & yeah... I dunno. Then again, maybe it's cos I look like a lil kid or something???!?!? I dunno... maybe after a week of checking out other clubs or cooling down actually I'll call back & go back & try it again. Some of the girls are bitchy though. Just with their looks & attitude/persona...eh, whatever! I dunno...I'm just being dumb at the moment I spose.

One thing I notice having worked at a lot of club is that your look and manner of dress must be adjusted to the club you're in.

For example when i started working nights at a Vegas club, all the girls dressed provocatively in booty shorts or the skimpiest outfits available with their cleavage hanging out.

Thus the guys had a constant floor show of women dressed as if they were in a hip hop video and guys turning their heads as a guy does a hooker on the stroll with her ass hanging out.

I have been used to wearing dresses and robes in the clubs I worked in and was used to sitting down and chatting with guys before selling them. Thus I sold few guys. I quickly changed my costumes to fit in and my approach with the customers.

My point is you have to go with the flow in a club. If you don't look like the competition you won't succeed.

You don't have to have fake breasts but the costumes you wear, your hairstyle and make up application can be changed so you are more "marketable."

Notice how they approach and talk to the customers and mirror what they do and see how things go from making those changes.

Every club will require adjustments in the way you look and work.

Maybe it was just a slow night. Sometimes that happens. I know I've made the rounds before and guys have told me no after no, other nights I have a list of them waiting for lapdances. That's how this business is, you are going to take a number of no's before you get some yes's.

As for your look, I can't imagine that every guy in the club wants the same type of girl. However, there are some looks that appeal to a wider range of customers than others. If your look does not appeal to a large percentage, then tweek it a little.

You can't get that easily discouraged. My first night of dancing ever I made $80. This is at a club where I was later making at least $800 a night. It's confidence, atiitude...I'm willing to bet it has little to do with your look. Keep trying if this is what you want to do- nobody's born being able to sell a dance!

Well I totally disagree that if she doesnt look like the competition she wont suceed and she definitely shouldnt mirror the others. When I first started in show clubs I did not have the same look as the rest and no implants and thats what mde me so popular.I believe if she stays at this place after a while she will see that she will become very popular quick. There will be guys that want her just because she looks different. Please dont change yuself to look like the rest.Thats what makes you unique.

Well, I think that if you genuinely don't like the club, then leaving was a good thing. HOWEVER...I think you shortchanged yourself by leaving early. There have been times that I start work at 9pm and don't sell ANY dances until midnight, and then I am non-stop until 4am. Making, $700 in 4 hours. Last night, I started work at 9pm, sold about 3 dances and then at midnight, I just hit the jackpot and walked out of the club (after tip out and all) with about $650. BUT, the 2 nights before I left with $115. It's just all over the place.

If you liked the place but left only because "it was slow", you may want to consider going back. I think the biggest misconception of ANY club is that you'll make bank every single time you go in. There are some nights that you make out like a bandit and then there are some nights where it feels like you were robbed by the bandit. But, that's the nature of this business. It's going to be that way no matter where you go.

I don't know about you but I have finally learnt how long it takes me to 'learn the ropes' of a new club before I feel confident enough to start making decent $$.... approx. 2 shifts (usually 6 hours long min. each).

Personally I will always try out a club for 4-5 shifts before deciding whether I like it or not. I too agree that you might have short-changed yourself and called it too early.

There can be alot of factors affecting how much you make at a new club.

I would try it one more time...but if you don't want to, look around for another club. your look may be too edgy for that particular one (you said you have a bunch of piercings and stuff, right?) if you could find some place that you're not the only "edgy or trendy" girl, that might work out better for you. I hate wearing a bunch of makeup too, but sometimes that's part of the fantasy guys pay for. ya know?
