Ronnie I was thinking of getting a lil minx pole. Have you been satisfied with it? Is it worth the money and do you feel stable on it? Thanks!!Originally Posted by ronnie link=board=25;threadid=8934;start=msg110377#msg110 377 date=1084834059

I've been really happy with the black lil mynx I bought myself for xmas. I have a feeling it might be a touch more slippery than brass, but I havent yet used a brass pole, so you might want some feedback from some of the girls who are familiar with both. It has been really sturdy. I just make sure I check to see it is still straight before I use it. I have hard wood floors, so it is on a bath rug with a large throw rug over that. I havn't gone charging at it full force (close), but I have no problems doing some pretty forceful spins including ones where one has to kick up pretty hard. So far so good...
I will also add that Liz in customer service was a great help when fed ex messed up.
Ronnie -
I just got a l'il mynx myself - but fed ex messed up for me too. I got the pole package, but the extension (for taller ceiling) was in another package and has yet to come. They don't know where it is!!
Is this what happened to you? Wondering how the company intervened. . . .
Btw, I got the brass version. I have a hardwood floor as well, and they sent me a pad for me floor to go with it. When I finally get all the parts, I'll let you know how it is.

Actually, Fed-ex damaged my pole. It arrived with a huge hole in the box and giant footprints all over the box. I e-mailed pics of the damage and liz sent out a new pole even before the damaged one was picked up.
We were laughing about needing to put extra warnings on the box: "Pole must be removed from box and installed BEFORE dancing upon."
Oh my!
If and when my 2nd package gets here, who knows what condition it is (or will be) in.
Having only part of the set up is such a tease. I hope it all gets straightened out soon!!
I am very glad to hear that the company is helpful, though. Just in case.
Thanks for the info!! I am thinking of having my husband get me one for my anniversary present this year.
Just for the record...brass is WAY easier to dance with!! You stick so much better to it. The painted poles just aren't the same. We have chrome poles at work (3" diameters) and they suck because you have to have some really strong fore arms to grip it tight enough not to slide right down the pole. Some of the girls there that do pole tricks have been doing them for a while and are used to the poles. I personally wish they'd just get some brass poles.![]()
The only problem with brass poles though is you get that brass metal smell all over your body when you do pole tricks.
Well, yeah, but I'd rather have that then easily lose my grip and smack my head on the floor.![]()
I love the Platinum stage. we have one with a black frosted lighted floor and a brass pole......I'm in love with it!

We just had a custom lil' mynx pole cut for one of our customers with a 9 foot ceiling, very little slider pole showing..
It looked incredible... with plenty of working room right up to the ceiling.
(As long as the package is under 108" FedEx can still deliver it.. and the shipping costs are tolerable.)

Lil' Minx advertises their pole as starting out at $249, our poles start out at $159. Just letting you know!![]()

Do they sell any spinning poles? I'd love to get one to practice on.

Yes we do sell spinning poles. They are sooo cool! You can turn your normal tricks into something new. Please give me a call if you are intested at 1.866.85POLES and let me know that you are from StripperWeb and I will hook you up with a good deal!

Our stages are only a foot high, not 2 feet. And our stages are the most popular items we sell.
Just to let everyone know we are coming out with some really cool stuff that will combine all the features and wants for a pole into one. And they will be very inexpensive! So keep checking back to our website and look for the new and improved poles!!!

For what it's worth, just wanted to throw in my two cents. Got pole from and I am completely, love it.
The good:
- Very sturdy (power moves were no problem)
- Easy set up/takedown (just make sure to get the release tool)
- Good aesthetics
- No need for anything like a hook to be installed. The pole's tension-based
The bad:
- I move it a LOT and fast realized that I should take better care of extensions... the coated finish can get chipped at the edges of the extensions... not a big deal, but kinda hurt the aethetics...
