    Default Jewelry

My club is kinda "glam-girlish", and I had this diamond tennis bracelet that I'd wear and I lost it (of course, right)... but when I no longer had it, I noticed that I got more grabby guys and made less money. So, I purchased a cheapy cubic zirconia look-alike to wear just at work and all of a sudden I started getting the same types of guys and making similar money as I'd been making when I wore the other tennis bracelet. I don't really know what I'm asking, but um... am I the only one who has tried this, I guess?

Nope! Classy, expensive looking jewelry attracts classy expensive customers! I always always always wear a rhinestone choker or necklace.

Gosh, I thought I replied to this before. Anyway, I'll add my bit...

...I think what you're trying to say is that you look upper class when you wear great stuff ('tis true you know). You will probably intimidate the grabbier clientele who may be less likely to pull such stunts as you don't look as ''cheap'' (for want of a better word).

I will try this out when I start dancing again (in less than 1 months time! Yay! I have been missing the stage SO much!). I have 'bling-bling' belly chains, necklaces and the works which I don't wear to work but I'll try it out for sake of this test. Will report back, but not in any less than a month's time!!

I never really paid attention to this, but I will now. I love jewelry, but would never wear real diamonds in the club.

Jewelry can make you feel more confident and higher class as well. You will also appear more "put together"

Interesting- I will try that out. I find I always get a better reaction when i wear big silver hoop earrings- kind of the opposite though, I think it's because they imply youth and sluttyness.

OMG Angeleyez this is so true. Whenever I look super classy I can sell dances eaiser to buisness men than if I don't wear flashy rhinestones. Also guys try not to grab me as much it seems. Does anyone ever get super pissed off when it seems like every guy is trying to feel you up it's like God do I look like some cheap whore who is gonna let you fondle me for twenty bucks! Then there are those girls whenever you look at them never seem to have the problem of guys coping a feel. It's like WTF sometimes it seems like it is only happening to me and it makes me POed!!

My biggest pet peeve is when girls don't even have a stitch of jewelry on.It makes them look like they don't care enough about their looks. It DEFINATELY makes a difference in the kind of clientele you get.My second pet peeve is when girls don't have all twenty nails done.

WOW..Funny this thread came up..I was looking for rhinestone chokers, earrings and bracelets for the stage last night on Ebay. Nice to know that others wear this sort of thing and it may make a difference in $$$. Last time I worked in a club...I would wear them but know one else did..I don't think the "rednecks" up here can appreciate them..lol Thanks Girls I LOVE GLAM!!!

    Chokers, bracelets, and rings, definately!!!

Long earrings tend to get caught in my hair, so small studs are better!

i just lost come great chandeler earrings at the club for that very reason....

As far as glam goes, simple elegance goes a long way.Over doing it is just as bad as not doing anything either.

This is such a great concept! Where should I go to get authentic cubic zirconia (not sure how that is spelled) E-bay, jewlery.com?

I have tried this, and yes, it does work. However, real diamonds in the club? Hell no! Some bitch stole my ugly $20 watch, I can't even imagine real diamonds....

Go to hsn.com.They have two lines, one is called "Absolute",the other one is "Victoria Weik".They both provide sophisticated glam.Hope this tip helps!

When I wear my "cheap" cubic zirconia jewelry...I get the grabby, talk-to-me-all-night for free boys.

I got this BEAUTIFUL crystal necklace and earring set (at an antique store). I BANK everytime I wear it. Older guys are drawn to it and I've had several ask me if it was a Harry Winston. It's a great conversation starter.

If you look classy, you'll attract the classy guys.

What about things that don't glint such as pearls? Do they make a difference in anyone's attraction-factor at work? Any of you girls tried it?

Malibu there was this beautiful blond girl that used to wear pearls and evening gloves. She had sort of a Marilyn Monroe hairstyle and looked like a '50s pinup model. I think she looked fantastic.

thanks for that lilac, I was actually wondering how people used them to get noticed. I have a long string of pearls and I wanted to have ideas as to what outfits/styles to wear with it so I get noticed.

I wear lots of rhinestone chokers, but haven't really paid too much attention to weather or not I made more money or if I got a better clientele. I usually get dances from a pretty mixed groupe both ass holes and gentlemen and everything in between. I guess I will try to experiment. Sometimes if you look too glamorous, you can look very intimidating.

What do you think about mixing gold and silver jewelry together? Does it look matched or unmatched?

Just my opinion, but I'm not a fan of it..

It depends. One has to complement the other accordingly. I have a gold and silver watch for example (I couldn't decide on which metal to go for).

As long as it's tasteful and in moderation (the key words!) and complements yourself and what you are wearing, it can be a striking combo.
