Default "prayer" or whatevever you do thread

Just want to note that I am not a Christian, but I do believe in doing my part during my daily meditations... that said....

With Mother's Day coming up, I've been feeling very "prayerful" lately. My grandmother died this winter, I have a 9 month old baby, and I lost a baby to a miscarriage the year before. Add to that all the world events happening around us, and I thought I'd start a "prayer" (or whatever) thread for everyone to add to. If you have any specific issues you would like us to keep in our thoughts, please post them here!!

please send healing energy to me personally (Kali) - I found a lump in my breast yesterday, and while I am fairly sure that it is a clogged milk duct (closer to the surface than most lump breasts, but very very large and has not diminished with nursing), it has freaked me out and I am going to the dr on Monday. My body is undoubtably rebelling against all the stressors in my life and I would appreciate whatever positive thoughts this board could send me!!

please send love and sympathy to all the families you know who have lost a mother figure recently - this is the first mother's day that my family will spend w/o my grandmother, for example.

please send love and empathy to those women who have had miscarriages and/or stillbirths and have no living children at the moment - from the moment you start connecting with your unborn child, you are a mother, and that does not stop when your lose your child.

please send peaceful vibes to the men and women comprising our troops in stations all over the world.

please send empathy to the civilians of other countries who have done nothing wrong but try and live their lives under inhumane rule.

please send empathy to the soldiers of other countries who have been trained to defend the beliefs of their rulers and are now pawns in a dangerous and all-too-important game between the men in charge of the world.

please dedicate a moment to your own children (if you have them) and consider what you want their futures to be like as you make your adult choices about how to live your own life.

that's all I have for now. thank you so much!

    IAKali

Kali (Great name, by the way),

I will send you all the positive energies that I can spare. I will also be lighting a candle tonight during my rituals. Most likely, you do have a clogged milk duct, but it is worrysome nonetheless, I'm sure. It happened to me also when I nursed my last 2 children. I totally understand what you mean.

Thank you for your beautiful post. I think that sometimes we forget how good our life truly is, and fail to see, or sympathize with the suffering of others.

I think this post was a wonderful idea. i believe that negativity breeds more negativity, so the more positve energy can manifest and spread, the more peace there is. I'm around alot of negativity that i end up absorbing and i know some times it comes out in my posts or replys, so this is a good way to turn this around.

I'll focus positive and healing energy to you as well as the others you mentioned.

    Be well.

Kali, thanks for starting the thread. That was very nice. I just want to also let you know that my thoughts are with you. I hope the lump is nothing but a harmless scare. Just keep strong.

I want to also add a few things. I have been travelling for a while and as such, really have flown the nest. But I care so deeply for family that it hurts sometimes. I am always worrying about my father in particular for reasons I will not get into. I just want to ask that even if only for a second, to think 1 good wish and blessing for the families you do not know (and maybe not even like) and for what unknown problems they may be facing. This is something we can all benefit from.

In any case, I want to bless you all on SW! To everyone else, I want to put forth the good vibes and well wishes! I'm glad we have this post!
