    Default CLARIFICATION from CarrieBradshaw

This message is in response to the overwhelming amount of replies I received from my first post about the stupidity of some strippers.

First of all, I was attacked for seeming snobby or righteous because I offered details about my educational background. I simply did this to give some background information, as I am a new poster. I did not intend for it to come off as haughty. I was not born into money as some replies inferred. I work hard for what I have, as I’m sure others on here do.

Secondly, I was criticized for using the Screen Name of CarrieBradshaw. It was just a quick solution to a sign in requirement and I can’t imagine why such a thing would matter. Is it that offensive that I wasn’t creative? When it comes to choosing names, it isn’t as if dancers are horribly creative either. How many Crystals and Shaunas and Gingers and Destinys have we all worked with? Ignore my name. It means nothing.

Lastly, I do apologize if my post seemed offensive. I didn’t mean it to be. I was simply wondering if anyone ever feels as frustrated as I do. I’m suffering right now at the club I work at and I can’t get along with any of the girls. I’m not looking to make friends, but I would at least like to engage in civil conversation with my co-workers when the need arises. I'm just looking for anybody who shares my feelings. Why else would I be on a stripper website?

Anyway, I hope I cleared everything up and I hope I am still welcome to post here.

    Take care~ CB

cb, i actually typed a nice little response, then re-read your post and erased it. You seem a tad pompous. Perhaps that may be why girls are reluctant to engage in civil conversation with you.

perhaps other members can offer more constructive criticism.

And when did you crawl out of whatever hole you've been hiding in, Madcap?

Carrie, you made the mistake of not realizing that the internet, like all communities, has rules and bylaws which are seldom published but required for easy assimilation into the community of your choice. I recommend lurking in the future until you get a feel for what goes and what doesn't. Keep in mind that the unofficial rules vary from one website to the next, and plan to do a lot of lurking in your internet career.

I, for one, was not tremendously upset by your post, but then I am pretty damned mellow. I can usually read between the lines to get what you intended to say, rather than what a poorly thought-out post seems to say. Be wary in the future of posting topic headers that seem to be universally insulting to strippers, and keep in mind that this rather insular and protective community is suspicious of newbies until they've been proven "safe". Being a stripper yourself, I'm sure you can understand that.

New topics to apologize are almost always a bad idea. though. See Madcap's response above for a good reason why it's a bad idea to make a new topic. Just copy your apology and clarifications into the original thread and let it stand alone. Good luck on your future posts; most people won't even remember this in a week or two.

I ecked my six legs out of carlessness.

I crawled from the primordial goo of oil and transmission fluid to *drumroll* get another car! Well, two actually (So I'm indecisive, oh well, i wanted a convertable anyway). Honestly, the evolutionary chain at work has had me occupied (I got to play lungfish for a time).

At any rate, here I am. Warts and all.

I was about to post something along the lines of what Sapphire said, she beat me to it. I wasn't terribly offended by your post but it did come off a bit arrogant at best. I'm thinking if that's the way you come off in person I can see why the other girls wouldn't want to talk to you at work. Maybe you don't intend to sound that way but perhaps you could take a look at the attitude you project.

Anyway of course you're welcome to post here, we're just a bit suspiscious of newbies, especially if their first post has 'stupid strippers' in the title....

I really think your outlook is the reason girls at work don't want to talk to you. They probably perceive you as looking down on them.

Of course you're welcome to post. Welcome to sw.

I brought this question up in the original thread. I was informed that Carrie Bradshaw was Sarah Jessica Parker's character name on "Sex And The City". Never bothered watching the show, because frankly, I can't stand any of the actresses who were on it, but I recognized the name. heh

Yes, you do seem a bit pompous, and I don't see how you can label us as uncreative, in general. It just depends on the person. You seem to be stereotyping us.

Are you a prep, who hangs out in yuppie bars? That is the way it seems.

    OOPS! I didn't see that...
I watched the first 10 minutes of 1 episode - Rhi, you didn't miss anything. It's lame (just my opinion )

So what problems are you having with girls at work? Give us some examples and we can help you in a positive or uplifting way or maybe we will just tell it how we see it.

Calling strippers dumb then not responding forever doesn't help you one bit with your problems.
