Just wondering, since I mystic tanned tonight and bought a bad ass white lace outfit I'd love to waer tomarrow. I am worried it might rub off on my clothes.

How did your Mystic Tan turn out Fawn? I've been debating between Mystic and Airbrushing and just can't decide between the two. I had thought I had settled on getting airbrushed, but the salon told me it only lasts about 5 days![]()
(ooh sorry I can't answer the questions re: wearing white-I have no clue)
My last spray tan, done at Darque Tan, came out horrible and streaky. The machine sprayed too thick and I couldn't rub it in well. It looked terrible. Luckily in the club you can't tell. They gave me credit for a free one......its the first time I've had that problem. It rubbed onto my white bra....but if you shower, the next day it should not rub off......
I would ask them if ppl have been complaining about the sprayers or if they had recently been cleaned. Good luck!

Well, I wore my white outfit. No problems at all. The spray tan came out really well, except was a little streaky on my thumbs where I guess i didn't towel off good enough. I use palm beach tan, and am now addicted to mystic tan. Fake tanners like neutrogena rub off in the shower, so I bet they'd be horrible on white clothes. No problems with the mystic though.

Thanks for the heads upI've got to price the Mystic in this area and figure out the price difference between Airbrushing and Mystic. The airbrushing here is $30 per visit but is said to only last 5-7 days
But if Mystic is around that same price, I think I'll trust a human over a machine... who knows tho.

Ooh and a P.S.... lol
Glad it didn't rub off on your outfit!
I mystic tan all the time...and I have never had any problems with color coming off onto my clothes. Just make sure that you get all of the bronzer off (that's what stains stuff).

Ok, got local prices.. Mystic is going for $40 for 3 visits (opposed to airbrush $30/one visit) Looks like I'll be trying the Mystic. That price I can live with.
at Palm Beach tan you can buy monthly unlimitted mystic tans for like $50 a month. Right now they are having a promotion, 4 free mystic tans just for checking them out.

Oh - I Mystic all the time... one thing Ive learned. NEVER do step 2 if you have fair skin (youll look orange) they tell you to dry by rubbing up... Whats better is to wait a few minutes for it to dry and PAT the excess off. Youll get a much deeper tan.
Make sure to put TONS of the barrier cream on your hands, nails, feet and your heels... i actually glob it on my heel and ankle... where it tends to be dry.
I always tan at night and sleep with it on (youre sheets may get dirty tho) and shower in the morning.
If you get dark spots (knees, feet), take half a lemon, put salt on it and rub it on those spots (i read this in Glamour Mag the other day) and it works.. takes off the exccess tanning stuff...
Anywho - goot luck with the Mystic - I love it!

Audrey-thank you so much for the tips-I appreciate them! I've never used a self tanner of any kind because I've heard/seen so many horror stories, but this year I decided despite the fact that I can tan normally, I don't want to. I just don't want to do anymore damage to my skin. So I guess I'm going to try this Mystic, and the tips you provided definitely help relieve the "what if this happens" syndrome I'm having.
i just switched from mystic tan (way too expensive, and not enough color) to loreal tanning lotion ( 9$ a bottle) . If you get the deep tanning bottle, it looks very good. Very deep brown color, although it tends to get a little orange after a couple of days. It lasts just as long as a mystic tan, but is much less expensive. And it does not streak one bit. I dont even have to worry about it. One problem is, that my eyes poof up for like an hour after application, but thats just probably my own weird reaction.
Yeah...but you could be allergic to something...be careful!!!Originally Posted by LaFemme link=board=5;threadid=9126;start=msg109390#msg1093 90 date=1084572691
