I dropped this topic on another forum so please forgive the cross post. I'm really curious and am considering trying out an idea. Is there any interest in using "custom" music? Like, if there were a web site that provided downloadable original music that a dancer could use to make up custom sets. Something that worked similar to iTunes store where you would download high resolution mp3s and burn them to a cd that you could take to the club with you. Could this be of any interest? In the old days (50 years ago or more) dancers worked with original arrangements played by a house band. The music was contemporary, fresh and new. This provided a welcome contrast to the "other" entertainment which consisted of "covers" of popular songs.
What do you think?
Thanks;
JPW
