    Default sweating--need advice

Hi all, I am thinking about working at a strip club that i go to sometimes with friends. I've already talked to my mom about it and she thinks it is okay as long as i'm safe, and my bf is fine with it. i have been practicing and working on putting together outfits recently because i want to start dancing by mid-June.

The problem is that i have hyperhidrosis. It is a condition that some people have that causes them to sweat excessively. I had surgery to correct it, but the surgery did not correct the sweating on my feet. My feet dont sweat as bad as they used to but sometimes if i'm really nervous or working really hard (physically) then they sweat a little more than normal. I use this lotion called Drysol on my feet, it's an anti-persperent. It works pretty well but not all the time.

I'm just wondering if you all think this will be a problem. My bf and other friends say that no one will notice, and i can wear almost any kind of shoes, except the slide on kind, with no strapes to hold my feet in. (sometimes if my feet are sweating really badly they will slip around in loose or slide on shoes). I'm just afraid that a customer will notice and be turned-off or something. Do you all sweat while you're working?

    Thanks for your advice

In the beginning you may sweat a lot because you are not used to it. I dont know how you could correct the profuse sweating on your body, but for the feet (there is a thread on this) you can use powders, or antiperspirant/deodorant on your feet as you would under you arms.

If worse comes to worse, when giving dances (and if you are super sweaty) say, "Damn, I cant believe how hot I am getting dancing for you, baby!" hehehhe

Uh thats a tricky one, i usually rub baby powder on my feet and then alittle more later as the night goes on. I also take my shoes off from time to time and wipe them off with paper towels.

What kind of club are you going to work at? If it's not a gown club, where you can wear anything that you like, you might want to invest in some good boots. That way, you can powder up your foot, and then put some nice absorbent socks on. Bring some replacement socks to change into.

My feet don't usually sweat that much, but sometimes...man, it sucks. If that happens, I just run upstairs, put some powder on my feet and then it's all good.

Thanks, that is some good advice i think, and it's nice to know that other girls sweat

hopefully the drysol will do the trick (it's a heavy duty anti-persperent) and i guess i could just wipe my feet off like oceanblue said she does and put some powder on them periodically during the night

the club is basically a blue collar type so anything goes really as long as it's sexy, so getting boots is good advice, but they seem to be expensive. it might be worth it though for nights that my sweating is really bad.

thanks a lot, i was feeling really down about it because this problem with sweating has plagued me my whole life ( i used to sweat a lot on my hands and armpits), but then i got surgery. it worked on my hands and armpits but not my feet, which was disappointing
i'm glad to hear that other girls sweat on their feet thanks you guys!

    (sorry so long)
