I used to work at Sugar's in Austin (5 years) and have moved to Oregon. However, I have a good career here (seasonal) but miss stripping. Where should I work? Of course I want a good club, good money etc. (I know, I'm dreaming!!)

Find somewhere with clientele in the highest income brackets, if you are able to relocate.
In spite of what some people are trying to tell us about the economy improving--albeit because they think it is true--it seems that the majority of dancers, as well as those in most other professions, are making less than they were a year or two ago.
The very wealthy are the last to suffer, and the last to stop paying for erotic entertainment.
You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.

I actually am writing a book about exotic dancing and am going to be working for research, but, I certainly would like to make money while I am there!! If you like books, Strip City by Lily Burana is excellent. I was thinking about Portland. Anyone kow about that area?
Lots of stripclubs and lots of dancers here in Portland. It's not gonna be ANYTHING like texas-- but that'll probably make for good research for ya. Good ones to try: Acropolis, Sassy's, Club 205, Nicolai St. Clubhouse, Jody's, Magic Gardens (where I've currently been almost a year--since maybe a month after I started dancing, and still like it); if good at hustling try Cleopatra's Viewpoint... Dolphin I, Dolphin II, or Star's. The best money is at the first three (out of those I've only tried Sassy's a few times-- and it was great) or dolphin II, I hear.
Where are you commuting from? p.s. welcome to green Oregon!

I live in Ashland and I love love love it. Oregon is so healing and beautiful. So in terms of where I would fit best, I am a decent hustler, very easy going and attractive. It would be cool to make at least 300.00 a night and meet some cool chicks. I don't have alot of gowns though and i love booty shorts, so someplace without a strict dress code. Oh, I have a small tatoo too. Thanks for responding!

There is a club in Medford which is the only one near you. I heard some girls say it was ok but that was a while back.
300 is a GOOD night in Portland...so you'll need a couple more gowns..probably. Ashland! I met some really great people in Eugene from Ashland.
It was a few years ago...at the country fair.
I'm planning on going this year...perhaps we could meet up and have fun! at the dolphin 1 & 2 & star's, you'll need a few more gowns.. but acropolis, sassy's, and cleopatra's viewpoint you could wear skirts, booty shorts, etc...definitely the majority of the time.

I've heard there are a couple good clubs in Medford, which is closer to you...no idea of their names or characteristics though

My initial conclusion is that Oregon is not a good place to base your book. Or at least the strip club market there is not typical of the rest of the country. About a year and a half ago I noticed nearly 25 strip clubs added to the Portland Oregon list on TUSCL (See link upper right SW page). I contacted the board moderator and pointed out that Portland now had more SC's per capita than Chicago, Dallas or Atlanta. Turns out many of the "new" clubs added were jack schacks or modeling studios. These are really not strip clubs as a strip club is defined.
There are very few strip clubs out of the Portland area, which is also unusual. My take on it from comments here and others is that there are more clubs than dancers, (which is good for dancers) but therefore earnings are way down. Also Portland appears to be very liberal about allowing new clubs. This is not good for club or dancer income as you wind up with too many clubs.
I suggest you try Houston in Texas. Income appears to be holding up and oil revenue in general is way up.
I spoke to a dancer in Vegas about Portland. She didn't like it at all, claims that most of the clubs were pool halls with stages. The rotation started when the first customer entered the club and continued even if no one was present. Private dances were 3 foot seperation and she said that caused many to not buy dances since you could watch naked girl on stage.
She moved to Vegas and works at Cheetah and likes the place and money.
Three to six feet separation for private dances
that are say, at Frolics (lingerie/nude modeling-masturbating). If in a stripclub, the couch/table/lapdances have a six inch separation rule.
