    Default Having some trouble...pleease help.

Hey girls! I've been an avid reader of this sight for quite some time but never a writer..anyway...I was hoping that I could get some of your wonderful advice on a little problem I've been having trying to diet. Right now I am 135 pounds and at the height of 5'2...so yeah I need to lose some weight. I've been trying so hard to find something that works for me. Working out isn't a problem since I've always been an active person. I just eat so much junk food and sugar. My problem is that I can't find a way to eat without feeling deprived and then ultimately ruining my diet by BINGING on candy, cookies, ice cream and such. It's getting really frustrating because now I weigh a little more than I started. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas to help me control this lol. I'd like to eat a few small meals a day, but have them be satisfying but low in fat and calories. If anyone could help me or has any advice on this I would appreciate it so much! I've seriously tried everything I can think of, which isn't very much. I don't want to lose sight of my goal and right now this really has me down. Either write it here, PM me or PM me to find out my e-mail address. Thank you so much. ~ BB.

It's easy to binge eat on all the sweet stuff when you're trying to diet. so eat a few small meals a day and allow yourself some kind of cookie/ice cream or whatever, along w/ one meal. that way you're not literally starving yourself and then overeating b/c you feel like you missed out on something yummy. also, look into slimfast snacks. they have low fat/high in vitamins, etc candy bars and granola bars which aren't bad tasting. also, look on the thread about yummy low cal foods for more ideas. the best bet is dont' deny yourself that stuff, but don't overeat it either. try to stick to a plan about your eating, exercise and it'll eventually happen. hope that helps a little.

I cant talk much cuz im a junk food junkie i get cravings all the time one little tidbit I can give you is and i know it sounds crazy by a couple of packages of those flavored motts applesauces I have the mixed berry ones and the strawberry ones, anyways have a limit of the good stuff and if u've maxed out on that limit and get a really bad craving for something sweet they are flavorable and cut my sweet tooth and they are alot healthier, its a taste thing tho cuz i know some people that hate them but it really works when ive reached my junk limit and i get a sweet tooth and I have to eat a couple of them but they are somehwat filling other than that i cant help much cuz like i said im a junkfood junkie as well.. keep urself active and try 2 indulge in healthier things,, its not easy but i think youll be fine! good luck!

I've been doing I-Shape for a few weeks now, and it has a pretty good meal plan for people who like sweets. They give you alot of options for sweet (but healthy) snacks. It would probably be great especially for someone who has sugar cravings.
You get daily emailed food and exercise plans. It's not expensive ($45 for 3months). And it's working, for me at least. I've lost about 5 lbs. in 3weeks. Go to Shape magazine's website. They have a free 10day thing too, so you can check it out. Good luck!

I as well feel this way too. I think at times i eat because i am just bored. So now, i put a bottle of water up to my mouth instead. I nurse it, making the water last almost all day. I find at times also when i want food i will drink water, and the hunger goes away. Dunno, maybe it's a habit with me now, but one i want to live with.

Keep yourself busy, say chew gum and read, or dance. Put yourself on a schedule. Know your meals, plan them some, and no snacking, drink water, just sip it. It should teach your brain that you are indeed puuting something in your mouth, and it does not have to be food to work!

Put a small sign on your fridge reminding you to NOT take that food now. It's not time. On your mirror, anyplace you spend more time around your home.

And learn self control....Easier said than done i know.

    Good luck,

    Pamela
