How much does your club charge per dance?
$20 bucks. from 11- 2 it's two for one, but even if the guy only has time for one it's still twenty.

Our club has two dances. A topless is $10 and a nude dance is $20. I checked "$20" because obviously we encourage those.
Every day, on day shift, dances are two for one. I've only been working a week and already I'm in great shape, lol
I am currently not working.. grr.. but at my old club it was $30 a dance...
$20 per dance...a few times throughout the night, they advertise a 2-4-1 special.

$20/dance. No 2-4-1s thank God! (my old club ran them all of the time!)

Those who have read previous posts of mine in re: lap dances in Australia will already know that it works differently here in Australia.
Firstly, all dances are pre-paid... even if only for 2 up-front.
Secondly, the prices varies from club to club.
I'll speak for the Gold Coast only:
Bad Girls (where I am at present)
$20 for nude stage-side show (covering of pussy compulsory)
$50 for nude no touching lap dance (covering of pussy compulsory)
$100 for nude touching lap dance (no covering).
All the dancers at my current club try and sell $20 stage-side shows or the $100 one.
The $100 price includes one or two people.
Also.. this is for 15-20 minutes.
The other clubs on the Gold Coast also work the same in charging different prices for different lengths of time.
For instance, my old club (Players) is $70 for 20 minutes, $180 for an hour and various prices for other time 'slots' of 10, 30 and 45 minutes. 10 minutes is the minimum.
The "per song" dance happens in Melbourne (Victoria) not on the Gold Coast.

$20/per dance which is measured by song. If I'm feeling particularly nice I might go over, like if we come into the private dance area half-way through a song, you get a song and a half - I try to avoid this, though.

$10 per song for a table dance, $20 per song for the same exact type of dance (no nudity or contact), except the $20 dance is in a more private space. It's a real challenge selling those $20 ones, but I have been using the suggestions given to me on the Hustle Hut board and sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Does'nt hurt me to try, though!![]()

I guess a pertinent follow-up question would be ...
How much of the money that the customer paid for those private dances does the dancer actually get to keep ?
It's one thing to pay a $50 stage fee and $20 in tipouts , sell 25 private dances at $20 each, and walk out of the club with $430. It's another thing to pay $20 in tipouts, pay the club 50% of private dance money in lieu of a stage fee, sell the same 25 private dances at $20 each, and walk out of the club with only $230 !
$20 dances at roughly 25% tip out (3 to house per song and 10% to DJ) works out to $15 to me per dance![]()

San Francisco sounds alot like Gold Coast pricing models with the exceptions of: nude is $60+ where applicable, there is contact at all levels, and duration is about 5-7 minutes. For $20 just about anywhere will get a full contact bikini dance.
Pay outs here are, for the majority, absurdly high flat rate at the end of the night (anywhere from $75 on up to $400). Some of the higher-scale Deja Vu clubs also have a 25-33% per-dance cut also, but even at these the $20 floor/bikini dances rarely have any house cut.
It doesn't matter if you're somebody in this world, it rather matters you mean the whole world to somebody.
One club, $20 topless, medium contact, depending on the dancer.
Another club, $20 topless, $30 nude, up to somewhat high contact, depending on the dancer. Also, some dancers discount. I think, although I'm not sure, that there's a flat tipout rather than per-dance fees.
At my club, the dances start at $10 but no self respecting girl goes lower than $20. We put up with enough crap, $10 is an insult in my club and any girl who charges that little or gives freebies gets to hear all about it from some angry girls.

Does anyone have a feel for how "elastic" (in economics jargon) the private dance market is? In other words, how much does the amount of business a club (or dancer) gets go up/down when the prices go down/up?
It is a well known and important point in market economics that the volume of sales on some goods and services is very sensitive to the price (which is called "elastic") while it is very insensitive for others (called "inelastic"). Just thinking about general principles, I would have thought private dances likely to be quite "elastic", but if I consider my own personal behavior, I treat them as pretty "inelastic"....meaning that I buy about the same number whatever the price...within limits of course.

$30 for a topless dance on a chair, or $40 for a dance on a couch. The couch dance may be given nude, but most girls don't do it unless by request. Club keeps $10 of the $30, and $13 from the $40. Tip only the D.J., and no stage fee if you are on time.
Tipping is SEXY!!

In answer to what the dancer receives:
At my current club - $20 fee Fri/Sat with every other night only $10. Then a flat $15 'hire' fee (to use the lap dance room upstairs) is charged per 40 minutes of use in the lap dance area.
Therefore in a $50 lap dance the dancer keeps $35. In a $100 lap dance the dancer keeps $85. If the customer extends - the dancer keeps that first extention 100%.
All stage-side tips are for the daner (100%).
In my previous club they have increased their percentage to 45%. All tips are for the dancer (100%).

both clubs I work in are $20 per dance.
One has a house fee of $60 and a dj tip of min $25 and they take 3 per song. No VIP booths.
The other is a $75 house fee, dj min of $25 but you keep all your $20's from dances.
If you do a VIP in this club, its $150 for the half hour and they take 50... but its only for 5 songs...if the guy wants more its an addition 20 per song until time runs out.
Oh, I'll add, I pay $15 stage fee and half of all VIP dances.

We have 3 types of dances where I work. $30 nude couch dance or 2/$50. $20 nude private show - done on a small stage in 3 sided room with saloon doors or 2/$30. Or, if desperate, we can sell $10 topless table dances - I personally have never sold one. Obviously, we try to sell the couch dances before anything else.

Wanderer, in regard to 'elastic' pricing, the vast majority of clubs participate in the good ol US institution of 'price fixing'. Most will hold the price at whatever the going rate is for other clubs in the region regardless of the impact on private dance sales.
One city in particular, Toronto, attempted a "lap dance price war" during last year's SARS scare. The end result was that the prevailing $20 per dance price quickly dropped to $10 at every club in town over a period of about a month after a handful of clubs lowered prices and 'stole' customers, and also that the total dancer incomes didn't increase even though they were doing twice the work !

at one club it's 20 a dance straight up. plus one dollar to feed the jukebox. another place it's 25 per dance, the house taking 7 (i know, weird). they are table dances officially, but lap dances actually.
$10 for topless regular lap dance
$20 for nude regular lap dance
$35 for topless VIP lap dance
$50 for nude VIP lap dance
$200 for spa (nude massage where if the guy asks he can whack off, but we don't tell them out right, it's a 20 minute long dance/massage)
