    Default Retinol????

I tried doing a search.. I remember someone in a thread waaaay back posting a website for Retinol A that was very inexpensive, but I can't seem to find it...

Also: those of you who have used it, does it work for the beginning stages of those little lines around your eyes? And, how long before you notice?

    Thanks!

I've been using that cream for a long time...like 7-8 years. The thing is that I can't tell if it's working because I didn't have wrinkles then and now, at 28, I don't either. I think my skin looks great though, so I stick with it!

Retinol was way too much for my skin. I used something similar for awhile that was on a little pad that I would just swipe over my face. Even that was too harsh.

Now, I just get facials and/or peels every few months to keep my skin looking fresh.

I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but I use a 2 MIllion IUs by Serious Skin Care.

I use Retin-A too...and got it from Mexico when I was on my cruise last month. I didn't realize it went so high in the states! I love Mexican pharmacies....had a field day in there.

But I saw it and I thought for $10 it would definitely come in handy, and it has. I use it on break outs, but Vitmain A cream (retinol) is something different.

I use Atralin. It has the same percentage, but less of the burning and peeling. Chemical peels are also pretty awesome.

I have ordered Retin-A from Alldaychemist.com. It's super cheap, though shipping is $25 and takes up to 3 weeks. I also ordered their version of Latisse, called Careprost, and it's cheap too. Works great.

Retin A does work and if you use it continuously for years it will keep your skin looking much more youthful than if you did not use it. Basically it speeds up skin cell-turnover and helps to increase collagen. Some people do report their skin looking worse before it looks better with acne and/or fine lines, and that was most noticeable for me under the eye area where skin is thinner. I thought the fine lines looked worse for about a week or two which made me super self-conscious, but just know it's a phase. Moisturize extra well to disguise this and it passes.

This is the best Retinol Cream on the market. It's called "Retinol Resq" and it's made by Alpha Hydrox. In my teens and early twenties I used Retin A. Now I am in my 30s and have switched to this, and I actually prefer it. You do not need a prescription to obtain it, but it can be hard to find. I buy mine from DrugStore.com. It's only like $15 and the shipping is very fast.

I have used this brand, & loved it, although not that particular product..I used their lotion for thicker skin on feet, elbows, etc..Thanks so much for mentioning it!
I currently use, & almost of of Redermic retinol, by La Roche-Posay, (purchased from Ebay) I guess it's alright I prob. need something stronger. I am also going to try peels. One thing I liked, that containes ibedone (sp.) the same thing that's in Prevage, is a generic brand cream (forgot the name) but it's on faceetc.com

I love Retin A. It's worked great for me for both acne and fine lines---what really sucks is that I have to worry about both! Couldn't I have just a couple years of fabulous skin in between acne and wrinkles?? I digress.

I have really sensitive skin and can only use a really, really small amount of Retin-A---like, an amount 1/4 the size of a pea for my entire face.

I'd really like to try that "Retinol Resq" since I don't have insurance anymore. Thanks!
