Default Alaska or bust! This summer!!!!!

Looking for a partner in crime

I'd like to spend a few weeks in Alaska and want to share rooming/rental car/cab costs w/ another dancer.

Supposedly May-September are the top $$$$ months in Alaska.

I'm looking for a stable, mature, drug and drama free chick....

    PM if interested..

Airfare round trip Atlanta -> Anchorage from 600-2000....hotels are 50-200 nightly

Nina, one thing that you'll want to research in detail is whether or not the club you wind up working at in Alaska will treat you as an "employee" and report your earnings via W2. I have not danced in Alaska myself, but I have heard about the "employee" issue from a couple of girls. If you are working as an "employee" rather than as an independent contractor, then the cost of your airfare, hotel and rental car will NOT be tax deductible !

It's true, The clubs I'd like to work at do issue a pay check and treat dancers as employees.
I'll speak to my accountant about it, cause I'm sure I can call it a "relocation " or "job search", but I'm positive she'd be able to find some way around me taking a loss.

But thats a valid point Mel that I'm sure possible travelmates (and dancers in general) would like to be aware of.

Btw thanks all you guys for the PM's --- I'm sure splitting a room/car 3 or 4 ways would be a big savings.............
