This is an excellent idea. I don't know why ALL clubs don't make the guys put their thumb print next to their signature on the cc bill. Looks to me like this would cut down on alot of bullshit chargebacks from assholes who party it up then claim they didn't make the charge(s).

Venus, same here! At my club they make the guys go for a half hour and they pay up front. (funny money, or cash) If and when the times runs out the guy wants another, we have to go out and pay again. I dont know how its done, but this is only what I have been told. I dont know, maybe the guys are just lying to make us look bad as always. lol (Theiving strippers) But, again this is only what I have been told. Customers dont believe half the stuff we tell them anyway, so I guess we should question what they say as well.
Lexi, I'm having a bit of trouble following your post. I assume you're talking about Stiletto, since GGR doesn't have a VIP room...

Yeah, they take all room charges up front. Usually if I'm doing more than ½ hour I'll just pay the full time at once, but I know I've seen guys head up to the bar at the end of their time to renew for another block, and they're charged then. Sometimes if the guy is lazy and paying in cash he'll send the dancer up instead, LOL, sometimes she'll go too but not often.

The part I don't understand is why you wouldn't believe this or how it makes you dancers look bad. Unless there was something in the nuances of your phrasing I didn't pick up, like it's not "we have to go out", it's someone has to go pay, the other (usually the dancer) can just stay in the room and relax.

Oh, and the concept of "funny money" doesn't apply to the room charge, there's no credit card add-on for that, just for the dancer fees. I get the impression I'm part of a large majority shunning the use of plastic there though.
It was mainly my wording that confused ya. What I am saying is, I dont know how the guy got "charged" $28,000 (that he says he doesnt know of) because in stiletto, you have to pay for each VIP individually upfront. No matter how many you do, you have to continuously go out and either pay. (which is good because no one gets stiffed)

What I was saying in reference to scores was, "I dont know how its done" (meaning in scores) "but this is what I have been told" (meaning that someone had mentioned previously being ripped off at scores.)

I have no problems at all with stiletto...I actually like the way everything gets done around there.

edited to add: The post you quoted from me was in regards to Venus and how I had only "heard" of some people getting ripped off at scores, but that it might be a lie to make the dancers look bad. (Lots of customers think that all dancers are theives, etc... or they make up a lie to make it look that way)

    Lexi~

What it is is that this guy is a moron who deserved everything he got. He's stupid. Stupid x 7 = seven kinds of stupid... I'll list these seven stupidities for your train wreck viewing pleasure...

#1) He was dumb enough to spend 28K, when he didn't want to. Shouldn't drink so much in a SC.

#2) He was dumb enough to freak over spilled milk in the morning.

#3) He was dumb enough to call a lawyer.

#4) He was dumb enough to actually file a lawsuit.

#5) He was dumb enough to think he can win aforementioned lawsuit.

#6) He was dumb enough to think this little tale wouldn't fly around the world, while his version of the story was still putting on it's friggin' shoes...

#7) He was dumb enough to think anyone would have any sympathy for him when he was stupid enough to get himself in this hassle in the first place.

This guy is a moron, plain and simple.

I suspect this is an example of attempting to avoid personal responsibility by proxy (aka a lawyer).
A drunken idiot did something very stupid.
Therefore he figures he is not responsible.
He may have tried to shift responsibility to an expense account and got caught.
He called a lawyer when Amex said it was a valid charge and tried to get out of it by extortion (threatening a suit).
I hope he not only has to pay the bill but has to pay for the lawyers for the bar + full court costs + gets countersued for defamation.

I have no doubt there are institutions who try to add charges to pad the bill. The way to handle that is to call 911 and NOT sign the ticket and let the cops sort it out.

LOL! Right on! Of course if Scores actually did sue the bastard for defamation, sadly it would barely even be looked at. The public always assumes fault with the SC, regardless of the stupidity or sliminess of the jerk on the other end.

I use to work at Scores Ive seen guys get scammed all the time. The waiter will take away a half full bottle of champaigne and say its empty and just bring another one. After a couple of bottles if the customer isnt paying attention they will just keep opening more bottleswothout asking. I have seen it so many times where the customer will just get overwhelmed and not realize whats going on and then get stuck with a huge bill.

For Isis and some of the other posters, the above more than explains why some of us look at /specific/ upscale club-goers as suckers and rubes.

Of course a rube can get taken anywhere, but I just don't see this kinda balls-out behavior occurring in other places.

    Just my 2 shekels.

I'm fairly sure all the clubs I have worked past 1998 did the thumb print and copied drivers licenses .
