i'm thinking of traveling 95 north to DC. Does anyone have any info on clubs in the area? I've heard some good stuff about Camelot, anyone worked there?
Thanks!

I've been anxiously awaiting to hear what the dancers have to say about DC clubs. In the mean time, maybe I can help. For information about the Camelot Club (The 'Lot) specifically, check out . It's mostly customers who post, but there's info from dancers as well.

If you simply must travel north,Camelot isnt a bad place to aim at.There is also Good guys. Both clubs have been there for ages. Its full in your face nude.Check and see if archibalds is still going, that was also a good one back in the day.
If full nude is to much, try dalphines in springfeild va and crystal city restaurant in crystal city va.There is one more in springfeild but for the life of me i cant remember the name,i think its the 1320 club(im old and its all getting fuzzy to me)
I wish you the best in your search, may you dance long a prosper!
I used to work at Camelot.
I lucked out and they liked me a lot, and put me on for 3 day shifts a week. It's scheduled, and the scheduling is a pain in the ass. You absolutely cannot just show up there and expect to work. They really screw you with the schedule there too. When they hired me I told them I'd be having a BA in a month they said no problem, and I saved to be able to recover for a month later. When I was ready to come back they put me on for ONE day shift a week, usually Monday. When I brought this up to the Manager, his response was "well, it WAS elective surgery..." AAARGH! But I digress... Anyway, after that I hightailed it back to New Orleans and made back the 1K I'd accrued in debt from my unwanted absence in a weekend. Also, another girl had her best friend die (it was in the papers and we all knew the girl wasn't lying about it) and they did the same thing to her because she took a week off to mourn!
You dance nude on stage about 8 times a day for 10 mins. and keep your legs closed, however, most of your money comes from regulars who expect you to sit with them. When I worked there I didn't make a huge amount because a lot of these guys expect you to go out with them, since a lot of girls do.
Money in DC sucks compared to a lot of other big cities, and almost all the clubs have schedules. A typical take for a full 8 hour shift in most DC clubs and in Norther VA pastie clubs is $150-$250 a shift
If you're gonna be in town for only a few days and just want a quick cash infusion, come a little further up to Baltimore at the new Hustler Club. I know the Deja Vu corporation is basically evil, but fees are still low because it's a newer club. Here's my suggestion: Come in on a Monday and do the Hustler Honey search where you have a shot at winning $500 just for that. Even if you don't win, they'll likely hire you and let you start working that night. Money in Baltimore is still not fantastic, but at least at Hustler there's no schedule and there's couch dances and champagne rooms, so you will almost certainly make more than in DC.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME
I worked at Archibalds for two years, then moved to NYC and I can tell you that the money at the end of the night is 300 TOPS in DC and 1500 in NYC. Ive been coming home with a regular grand per night in manhattam whereas DC youre dancing NAKED for singles that may or may not add up to over 100 bucks.

Yikes!!!!
didnt mean to give bad info!!!
Been about 10 years since i worked in that area.
Thats my story and im sticking to it!!
There is no ceiling on what you can make in DC... I worked Fri and Sat night this weekend and walked with over "300 TOPS" both nights. I usually do on Wednesdays too. And I work at JP's... a little neighborhood hole-in-the-wall (they are so good to their dancers, though).
Good Guys accross the street is about the same. Archibalds is a horrible waste of everyone's time.
Camelot is good money, but, as Jennifer said, you are expected to date customers. As was Nina, who commented on the schedule. While there is little out-and-out prostitution, girls will date customers in exchange for their rent and a credit card with a $5K limit on it, that he has to pay off every month. To me, its hooking, but no one will deny that the girls make very good money there. And they are just asses about the schedule, and tend to give shitty schedules as a means of firing girls for no reason at all. Getting a job there is a bit harder than other clubs, but shouldn't be too hard for most girls. I would say give it a try and if it doesn't work out, reconsider.
The option of picking another city wasn't a bad one, though... DC has it's ups (there is NO touching, at all; easy to work; decent money; lots of options; if you work hard, you can definitely support yourself here) but it reaslly isn't the best you can do if you are already travelling.
There ais also a lot of information on different clubs in the "Clubs & Reviews" section of this site.

Thanks everyone! I know DC might not be one of the best but it's just a couple of hours from Richmond and I can't really stray too far from home!

Hi Susan-VA,
I have never worked in DC, but I did have gone to have a drink and see the Camelot bar. Well as everybody say, is the best in DC I was really disappointed when I seen it. But maybe is not as bad as I thought, or maybe I’m just use to different places. (Before I worked in Dallas & New York & Europe- I always trying to pick the best places:
). Also I have heard which I’m not sure, that the best money is at Nexus – because they have lap dances and also is the bigger. So maybe you should go see Nexus to, but try to get more info on this one as what I say is just what I heard not my experience.
Good look.

I think people are being a little unfair about Camelot's ( and the 1869 which is next door.) They both look like they haven't changed since 1969. No lapdanes, everyone works for $1 tips, but a lot of cusotmers do tip. Yes, some of the girls get friendly with cusotmers outside of the club, but that is totally optional. The management is fine, there is absoutely no contact. Yes, the money isn't what you can get in NYC ( and what I am getting in NYC) but that's true of lots of places. if you are comfortable nude, I would go for it.
I've made over $300 in DC numerous times and walked out of Camelot many times with $400-$600 for day shift. The $300 tops thing is basically an average.
And as for girls getting "friendly" with customers at Camelot and this being "optional", HA! Yeah, no one's holding a gun to your head, but after a while you see girls being treated VERY well for their time and "getting friendly" doesn't look like it might be all that bad. I just prefer to make my money in the club. I saw a few girls get their rent cut off or their card cancelled and when it happens, it's ugly.
I don't want to make it sound like I'm trashing Camelot, because Nick is a good manager and there's money there that can be made pretty easily, but just know what you're getting into if you do decide to work there.

The suggestion of Nexus wasn't bad - there is a VIP room and table dances (no lap dances). The house fee just jumped to $150 a night, to be paid as you walk in the door - because too many girls were claiming that they hadn't made that much by the end of the night. If you hustle hard, I am sure that it can easily be done.
To me, the consideration with Nexus is contact. I haven't been in the VIP rooms. All of the dancers claim that "nothing" happens in there, but I don't know men who pay several hundred dollars an hour to feed you champagne, and nothing. For me, even a little "something" is too much, so I haven't tried it out. Also, they sit on couches, and I don't want to be that cozy with strangers...
Like I said, though, these are my personal preferences. If you come from a higher contact area than DC, sitting snuggled on a couch with a guy may not be a problem and Nexus could be perfect.
ALSO... I just heard that 1819 recently sold and will be opening under new management. It was an OK club in a great location, but the drawback was a horrible owner who got off to presiding over the dancers on his whims. I have never been fired from a club or had even a small problem with a manager (and I worked for Haji for 2 years), but this guy I could only take for 2 weeks and I quit. With new management, this could be a great place to work in the near future!

Hello I worked in D.C. I was at Nexus Goldclub. It is an ok club very differrent from any in D.C. There is lots of guys that go there. You can make money. The summer season is the slow time. All I know about Camelots is that they like their girls to have big breasts. Some of the girls came to Nexus from Camelots.
I know this is late but I work at GoodGuys in DC and the money sucks. I was there about 2 years ago for a whole year and never made any more than $500 a shift and I only did that once. My average was $100 a shift. I went to the Stardust in hyattsville and made between $200 and $700 a shift (but they do laps there). I am now back at GoodGuys and I make about $150 a shift. It sucks...... I can't go back to Stardust though because they have too many girls. BLAH!

The idea that someone's rent or credit card was cut off was intended in the sense that it was being taken care of by customers. At Camelot and 1819, the girls kinda use the club as a staging ground for meeting wealthy men. They pretend they are dating the guy and he pretends that he is not paying a prostitute. In exchange for her time, he pays her rent and gives her a credit card that he pays off. When things go sour, there is no one to pay her rent and the card goes bye-bye...

Camelot is a great place to work. Management is good, days are very different than nights. Nights there is more volume, a little more money, more girls, and legs are sometimes spread a little more than on day shift. You can make between $50- $1500 a shift. It all depends on the day and your attractiveness/ personality. Trust me, personality is big on day shift as many intelligent men come in on lunch break looking for fun and conversation. Some girls never make below $250 and average $500, others struggle some days to break $100 and average $250. It really ranges.
"Dating" does happen a lot, but not all the dancers do this. Some make very good money without any dates. Of course you will be asked 100x a day, but you do not need to take them up on it to continue to make good money. You might make better money, but then it comes down to money vs. your morals and attitude on life.
Your best bet is to go in and see how they schedule you, if they like you, you can basicly have your choice of days and # of shifts. But your attractiveness, personality, and life outside of dancing (other work, school, childeren, etc. These are good things! not bad) will influence this.
You can have any sized breasts! There are a TON of butt and leg men that frequent camelot. Many men come looking only for natural breasts and a smile.
Take some thought on your outfits, think classy and unique. Don't go overboard on makeup, talk! be intelligent, most of these men are educated business men. Obviously this is different Fri & Sat night, but you wont have time to talk then much anyway.
You are an employee at Camelot, which is very good. You get paid to work there, not much but it is better than paying them! Things are scheduled and organized, but it really does make things run smoother. Hope this all helps(:
I worked in D.C. for years....
first at Good Guys than at JP's....
JP's although not the best money in the world has the BEST management and the BEST girls I worked with in my time there...
wonderful experience....
sadly I can make more money in a 4 hour shift here in Portland than I ever did in a 8 hour shift in D.C. and money here is TERRIBLE...
There was a time many years ago when the money was decent but 6 months ago when I left it was awful...$150-300 a shift....
yuck.
Good Guys is the worst club to consider...maybe I am bias but the management has done horrific things to the girls that work there...
I have heard Nexus is the place to make money but my friends who work there told me money has been on a steady decline....
either way best to wait until summer is over to see any cash in DC...
good luck!
