    Default Comps... rigged?

So I entered a competition the other night at my club.... I was told I did the best show, the judges look REALLY inpressed and the crowd went off....... But I didn't win.....
I felt a bit disappointed but found out later that all the judges but one picked me to win but one judge was convinced that because the winner had bigger breasts then me and would of 'looked better' in the magazine!!!! What a waste of time and effort they should of just told us who one before we even bothered with the shows because its obvious how the pick the winners.
    Anyone have any similar stories?

I remember a certain girl who was screwing the dj so she won the Pole Antics competion for our club. Everyone found out and wanted to kick her ass.

They will ALWAYS be tainted in one way shape or another - oh SURE they will always try to convince you otherwise but human nature as it is...well...

I won a few lost a few and recall it wasnt always the best SHOW that won. Often it was a crowd favorite, or seemingly a preferred body type - I chalk this up to it being a "nude" industry first and foremost - after all and thats what sells in the end.

There were girls that could kick ASS on stage but lacked in other areas - smaller breasts or maybe they were too short (yup too short can ya dig it?)

It was always sonme kind of travesty in the end after all there is only ONE winner.

Later and reflecting - I saw what it really WAS instead of what we wanted it to be as dancers.

It came to me this aint broadway - this is the nude industry...period.

THEN I came to understand so many of those losses.

I can understand what you are saying in re: comps. I've seen a few now (and participated in one for fun mainly)... and can tell you that sometimes it is all about the bust/butt/body etc.

Sometimes dancers with really good stage shows don't always win... like Leigh said.. they might be too small busted, not a good butt, too short or have a bit of a tummy.

At the same time, some heats at some places are less biased than other places.

In the end, if you do enter any competitions - do it for fun not profit. Then you will never be disappointed and if you get thru your heat.. it's a bonus.

what an EXCELLENT attitude GCG, I applaud that.

If you go in with that attitude it will shine on you - the ones that have that glow always stand out from the rest.

I did a competiton recently and got by FAR the most tips on stage, and according to nearly everyone else, by FAR the loudest crowd response - and I got 4th place. EVERYONE agrees the girl who won had the most boring show, save for a kickass costume. She did NOTHING but walk around on stage. Literally. The rest of us had themes, costumes, moves and props. She had.....a costume.

I had alot of fun with my show, but can't help being a tad disappointed. I would do it again though. In fact I AM doing it again.

To add: From what I've seen, when the judges are older, they more often than not tend to decide based on looks alone. If one girl has a certain look they like, she wins whether she does the best show or not. With the younger ones, it's more about effort and they seem to place more value on what the girl DOES on stage rather than how she looks when she first walks out. So I reckon the only way to make the judging fair would be to have an even number of judges, half older and half younger. And do the best you can to have them NOT be guys any of the competitors already know.

lol just kidding Jenn.I was fishin fer some large mouth bass.
In reality,I think all entertainers should steer clear of most djs that i have met,to include this one!

I too have seen some shitty results from contest.I have haunting moments in my memory banks of the eyes of an obviouse winner who hears the other girls name called as the winner.
I have also seen a crowd all but tear the toilets out of a club for this kind of chit.(flashbacks to lawton Oklahoma!,yikes that was a pit, hope its not now.)
Nothing but bad things happen from a rigged, racist,or biased contest.
The worst thing is the eyes of the girl who was jilted, filling up with tears as she tries to be a pro and exit the stage gracefully amid a screaming, outraged crowd.
The second worst place to be is the fucker who got handed the envelope and had to read the rigged winners name.He had no choice but to calm the crowd and move on with the show.
She was my longtime friend, and I miss her to this day.I only hope she found a better world, because we never saw her in that town again.
I dont expect her to ever forgive the club,I only hope she forgave me.

I'm sure she forgave you sweetie. It hurt when it happened (probably a lot) but life goes on! As a matter of fact it sounds like it must have hurt YOU more than it hurt HER!
In the end, it is just a pageant

I just wanted to post a response in re: my "enter competitions for fun not profit" attitude. I can have this attitude because I'm not in stripping to be a feature entertainer and hence have "titles" under my belt.

I'm guessing those who are in it for the title ... well.. it might be a bit harder to have the same attitude as they have more invested in the competition.

I also enter these types of competitions because I'm a stage whore (my own label and ommission) and love performing.... the costume, routine and props.. love it!

Every year we have Miss Nude SF, and every year they pick the taller, blonder girl with HUGE fake breasts. There was this lovely brunette competing with real D cups and they were absolutley gorgeous! She danced better than the blonde too. But the crowd went more wild for the blonde... So do gentlemen really prefer blondes you think? I know not all, but perhaps the majority of most crowds... hmmm...

Just a guess because I think it would be hard to find facts to back it up but,

    Yea.Blondes win.
I think the perception around the world of the perfect american female has been the tall, blonde, big chested female.
I also think the american social upbringing over the last 50 years has also force fed us into beliving that it really is the perfect woman.
From marilyn-farrah-anna nicole, even madonna to britteny in recent years, this is what men are tought from young ages to "see"as beauty.Even young girls were taught that with toys like barbi.
Even early cinema portraid females and their roles by hair color.Good guys wear white and bad guys wear black.Good girls, the pure ones were always blondes, the jezabells were always brunettes or the dreaded red heads!lol
Look at the list of sex symbols over the last 50-75 years in this country,Im guessing most are blondes.
Could it be we have all been slighlty brainwashed by our surroundings to think that the blonde is the standard?

So true! Went through Thailand blonde and oh boy, wasn't I a walking talking MTV status symbol to those people, lol. I'm brunette now, and probably will be when I go back in December. I wonder if I will notice a difference? ???

LOL...whenever I hear "California girl," I automatically picture a slim, tan girl in a bikini with long blond hair and big tits. I know it's a stereotype, but that's the mental picture I automatically get in my head. I used to read these books when I was younger called Sweet Valley High, and there were twin sisters in those books that fit the typical California girl stereotype.

I think some competitions are definitely rigged and some are fair. I've only been in two different competitions in my life. One was at a strip club and one was at a regular bar.

The competition I entered at a strip club had weekly contests, and the winner from each week would advance to the finals. The winner each week received $50 and the winner of the finals got $500. I won one of the weekly contests but I did not win the finals. I was disappointed that I did not win the finals because I could've used that $500 prize, but I thought it was fair because the girl who won was really pretty and a great dancer. The contest was judged on a combination of appearance and dancing ability. It was not based on audience applause. 4 customers were randomly chosen to be judges. I have no idea how I did in the finals because they did not announce second place, third place, etc., they only announced the winner.

The competition I entered at a regular bar was totally rigged, in my opinion. It was supposed to be based on audience applause, and I got the most applause by far. However, I did not win, I placed second. The girl who won weighed over 200 pounds and she had cellulite all over her ass and thighs! Contestants were not allowed to get topless or nude in this contest, but we could get down to a thong. The winner did get a lot of applause for some reason, but you could tell that I got a lot more applause when I was dancing. She hung out at that bar on a regular basis and it was the first time I had ever been in there, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

Competitions are often rigged, but they can be fun. I think I will enter some more in the future, but I'll enter just to have fun. That way, I won't be disappointed if I lose and I'll be extra happy if I win.

I like doing competitions mainly because it's a break from the monotony of the daily grind. I enjoy the preparation, dreaming up themes, finding the music and props, and the big finale at the end. I love the performance and the reactions of people when I do something they haven't seen before. I also have a competitive spirit and competition drives me to try harder.

I am disappointed if I put a lot into a show and wind up bringing down the house only to watch some other girl who barely did anything walk away with the prize, but it's still fun and I'll still do contests. I see it in part as a legit excuse to do what I REALLY love about dancing, the SHOW, which sadly has all but gone by the wayside.

Raven-haired and red-headed bad girls are the funnest. Who wants to be the good girl? And actually, I was reading an article about which haircolor was preferred by men, and brunette won. There is a certain mysteriousness about dark-haired women.
