Default "my customer tipped you but I forgive you"

    :'(

I'm sorry to do a bitchy-unhappy post, but I need some advice:

I have been at my club for four years and never had a problem with ANYONE, my nemisis in this story has been there for about a year and manages to find something to complain about weekly.

She's unbelievably innoccent and naive so I sort of "took her under my wing" when she first started and we were friendly in and out of work.

About a month ago she started shooting my greasy looks and ignoring me when I spoke to her. Last night at work we were both called up to do a podium and she sent another girl to the MC to say "I cannot possibly get onstage with Susie, she is mean and horrible to me". The MC told me about this later and I sort of stared incredulously.

I approached the girl after her podium to ask what the hell was going on (and could she please not badmouth me to other girls) and she said (and this is pretty much a quote):

"You know how my customer tipped you a month or so ago on stage and I got pretty upset, well I forgave you for that. But a couple of weeks ago when you asked if he was coming in I could tell that it was so you could try and push in and steal him from me"

    ???

I asked if he was coming in to make general conversation, and also because he is where she gets most of her $ from!

I really do not know what to do here. Do I approach her again? Tell management? I really do not want weird paranoia-influenced stories spread about me to other girls/customers.

    :'(

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ignore her...she's petty and insecure and if you play the game you'll also appear to be petty and insecure. If you've been there longer than she has I'm sure you've had time to gain a reputation as someone above all of this nonsense.......

I'd probably ignore her once she starts to act right too. Otherwise it may look like one of those girlfriend spats.

Two words: F*cc her. I understand your paranoia, but the quickest most effective way I've found to rid yourself of this type of situation is to simply act like you don't care. Stay polite and civil, but when she starts acting like a 14 year old just laugh and walk away. It does take balls to do this sometimes, and it won't work unless you have the attitude to keep it up. Not a bitchy attitude, just a nonchalant let it roll off your shoulders way to let it be known you could care less. I understand that for most, it's easier said than done...

Definitely play it off like you dont care. Customers can tip whoever they want. For chrissakes, you were on STAGE and he tipped you? Whats the big deal? I would be offended if a customer of "mine" didnt tip a friend on stage because I would feel bad. Whatever!
I say just pretend like you dont care. She obviously thinks she owns her customer.
Sorry about that...its so annoying when girls do this shit to create some sort of drama.

^^^^ yea because she sounds a lil silly.....when my friends get on stage if my reg is in the club i always tell him to tip...and expecially when a girl is on stage and no one is tipping her...

Lexi is right, customers can tip whoever they want! She needs to learn that chances are pretty slim that he'll be her regular forever anyways and that you can't "steal" a person, customer or not.

Heh, she is just a stupid lil girl and at some point she'll learn the hard lesson that she doesn't own that guy. It is possible he's playing her with that stupid customer game - 'oh she's trying to get me to spend money on her', pitting her against you and making her more 'attentive' to him. Whatever. I'd just ignore them both.
