    Default schedules and hours

I was just wondering what kind of schedule most of you were put on, if you even have a set schedule. Also how many hours you have to work per night or week.

The way it works at my club is that generally you're scheduled 4 days/week (unless you tell her you want to work only such and such). On a weekday you have to be there at least five hours, on the weekend it's six. We have set schedules every week but you can come in anytime you aren't scheduled as long as you stay the mandatory five or six hours. You can also come early and stay late, but i think you can do that anywhere.

I personally feel that a mandatory five or six hours is too much. There are many days that I can come early and/or stay late, but there are a couple days where I come in and make what I'm going to make in three hours. Or it may be dead or there are too many dancers to make money and i still have to stay there for another two or three hours.

Also, during the week tip out to the house is $10.00 and on the weekend it's $20.00. If you work four or more days per week then tipout on weekends is just $10.00.

In many northeast clubs, and in many corporate chain clubs across the country, dancers must adhere to a rigid schedule. This means that girls are NOT allowed to just walk in and start working - they must schedule their shifts 1-2-3 weeks in advance. This also usually means that they must show up on time at the beginning of the scheduled shift, and continue to work until the end of the scheduled shift - and are often fined or otherwise whammied if they are late or leave early. Shifts are typically 6, 7, or 8 hours.

Some clubs require that any dancers wishing to book themselves at the club must work a minimum number of days per week, typically 3 or 4. Some clubs also set a pre-requisite that in order for dancers to book themselves onto a lucrative thursday or friday night shift, for example, that they must first schedule and work a low paying monday or tuesday night shift.

Many clubs will also not allow a dancer who has worked an "afternoon" shift" to continue to work into the evening shift, because this would overload the dancer to customer ratio and cut into the earnings potential of other girls who had fulfilled the pre-requisites to book the evening shift.

The clubs I've worked at in NY you had to work 6 days and between 8-10 hours a shift depending on the day. The new club I started in in TX is only 3 days and 6 hours. It's a really nice change.

4 days a week, but it isn't strictly adhered to
a shift is 8 hours, but you can leave after 4 if there are enough girls there

I don't have a set schedule. I just need to let management know the next day I will be in. From what I hear, I am one of the few who doesn't need to stick to a schedule. I come in make money for the club, don't get involved with drama, pay-out nicely, and have fun. I usually work 2 days a week. You HAVE to work the full shift...but, if you get permission from the manager, you may be able to go from afternoon shift to evening (if space allows).

Current club I'm at is 3 nights a week. The club opens at 9pm and closes around 3am (sometimes earlier during the week or Sunday if its too slow). The latest one can start is 9.30pm

Also, the 3 nights per week is encouraged but not strictly enforced. Besides, most of the dancers do 4-5 nights a week because the hours are easy (closing 3am the latest with a 9.30pm start.. that's only 5.5 hours! )

I personally do 4 nights a week with the option of doing a 5th night (I always leave that option open). If I'm travelling, I'll do 5 shifts a week regardless of the hours.

Most of the clubs here in my area have shorter shifts, never more than 4 or 5 hours long. All of the shifts are generally scheduled 1 week to 4 weeks in advance, and we are penalized for missing shifts without 24 hours notice.

I usually work 35 hours a week, within 5 days. I work from 4pm-9pm at one club, then drive to another to work the 10pm-2:30am shift.

2 of the clubs I work at have no schedule at all....Come in when you want --the later you arrive the more you pay...Pay extra to leave before the club closes.

The other club asks that you work 4 days weekly, but it isn't enforced across the board. Come in up until a certain time and pay extra.. no early departure w/o mngmt approval.

I work anywhere from 2-7 days weekly, just depending.............

6 days a week, anywhere from 5-12 hours a day.

The bonus is, you get paid well enough for your stage shows so if you want to leave between shows (can be up to 3/4 hours) it's not a problem. I'll usually work the floor at night (if I'm up to it), and sleep or study during the day (most changerooms have couch or bed, desks, tv etc).

No schedule at my club, but if you want to work the weekend night you have to work a Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday night. No schedule at all for day shift. If you don't work the required day, it's an extra $50 to work the weekend. Shifts are eight hours and if you want to leave early, it's $20. I almost never work eight hours, so if I come in early, I factor that $20 right into my tipout.

I'm not required to adhere to any kind of set schedule. I work in bikini bars and work an average of 6-8 hours a week, not per shift. Each booking usually consists of three 20 min sets. ( I usually work 3-4 bookings per week. ) So I'm usually in the club for about 2 hours roughly. I have been dancing for quite a while. I've been to places like Vegas, DC, etc... I've been to Sapphire. OG(Olympic Garden), Crazy Horse Too, (all in Vegas) and even (the)Camelot- in DC. Although i haven't traveled as much as most of the girls on this site nor worked at these clubs I've seen--I feel as though there is way too much competition, tip outs etc.. in the more classier and larger scale clubs. I'm lucky to do well in my small-time go-go bar area. I do admire those girls who work hard 6-8 hour shifts and walk out with $500-$2000 a night.

Ok, I am spoiled. Dallas here. I work one night a week. Two if I am desperate. However, on that one night, if I have not made enough $$ in 4-6 hours, I will stay, up to 12 hours.
Our shifts are 6 hours. We have currently opened a Penthouse club in Hawaii. I can fly there to work and be put up by the club but I have to work 5 nights. Forget it! I think the most nights I have ever worked in a row is four.
Here is my philosophy. I put all of my energy into that one night. The whole week before, I am training, tanning and preparing. If I work any other nights I will not do as well on that one night because I am burnt out. Say I work Thursday and make $600-800. If I return on Friday and make another $600.-1000. I have made the same as I would if I would just use the energy to work hard on Friday. I have used this theory for the past seven years and it seems to work. I have decided to add one more night just to put the money in the bank. No matter what I make that night, I am guranteed to walk out with more than I walked in with. I live pretty well but can definately live better.

I want to go to Hawaii and be put up by Penthouse...that's awesome fun.....what's wrong with 5 nights a week?

Work for the booking month then extend your ticket and rest a week!

Do all the Penthouse clubs do this type of thing, or only the one in Dallas? What about the one in Austin? Or do you have to be a long-term dancer with the club for this type of perk?

Oh yeah, I have no schedule and work about 7-8 hours when I come in.....

One of my 2 clubs requires you to schedule yourself for 3 shifts a week, a week before. It's a mandatory 8 hour shift. (unless you get there after 6PM, then you get to pay another $20 ticket for every hour you are late) If there are alot of girls, then they'll let you leave early. But no earlier than an hour. We get to go on as many 10-20 minute breaks as we want. My other club is much more lenient...

At Showgirls we have to do at least 4 8 hour shifts a week, though some girls who are studying or have kids only work on the weekends. I prefur to do 10pm - 6 am. There's always the possibility that we may close at 5am if it's quiet and I find the club dull before 10pm. I also find it much easier to work these hours, something about my body clock.
Sometimes I'll do from 8pm -6am, but we have to be pretty short staffed!!!

I work one night a week...sometimes, two, but that's rare. I worked my first day shift on Friday and that was HARD. I won't be doing that again for awhile. I pretty much am on the floor by seven to avoid any house fee's (i'm cheap) and never leave before two unless I've discussed it with the manager before hand. I hate leaving before two though so if it has to be an early night for me, I usually just switch nights.

Katrine, The Penthouse in Austin has ended their affiliation with the magazine so sadly, they do not offer the same deal as the Dallas club. The club is now called Perfect Ten.

At my club (I work in Atlanta) we choose the days we want to work and whether we work day shift (11:30-7:30pm) or night shift (7:30-4:00am). We don't have a required number of days we have to work and we are able to come and go as we like. In my opinion, this is the best option for the dancers!!!
