    Default Old School Stripperweb

Wow, it is 8:12 in the morning, there are only 9 members here, and four of them are from way back in the days when SW was brand new--before my time even. Isn't it amazing how this site has grown?

What is really interesting is the way there seem to be waves of new members coming in--and it's kind of cool. I am from the second wave. I would say there have been about three more since then.

It is great to see some of the new people taking such a strong role, but I do miss some of the old members--whatever happened to NYCJacqueline, Hollyday, or CrazyBob, for instance? It has been great to see Leigh_Landon, Prester_John, and TiNi back around, though not as much as before. I am tired so I can't possibly list all the people I miss or would like to see more of.

Yeah DJ. I miss seeing some of the old-timers too.
I love that this site has grown so much and we have all the new members though! That's what it was started for. But I sometimes catch myself wondering what happened to some of the 'old farts'.

I was just thinking "I remember when Djoser was a newbie. Now here he is posting about the good old days".

I just don't know how I made it as a stripper in the prehistoric days of 1994 before I had internet access.

WHo ya callin an old fart? LMAO!

Ya, it has seriously grown here, and I am glad for that but as result the dynamics have changed considerably.

It doesnt have that community feeling so much - hard to keep up with threads that hit the second or 3rd page before you even seen the first post of it!

Back a bit - It almost had a conversational value in a thread when you could post and discuss/argue/lament an issue with others you were familiar with, helped you really get to know eachother, now its more random and having one of those type threads come up has become scarce.

That and SO many repeat issues, so much fluff, I kinda mourn the old SW. Ah well, growth is good and I guess if you wanted to count on something you had better list change cuz you can always count on things to change, huh?

LOL old farts! Last night as I was paying out from work there was a new girl who saw what I was turning in for my 10% staff tipout and repeated the number all wide-eyed and shocked looking. I thought it was a pretty low number considering I'd worked 2 hours longer than the standard night shift. It had been a slow night but as always I worked my ass off and managed to make a decent amount. Asst mgr piped up to newbie, "well she came in 2 hours early" to which the girl replied "that's still 3 times as much as I made". Asst mgr says "yeah well she's been doing this alot longer than you". LOL I guess I gave him an unconscious look because he immediately turned to me with "oh not saying that's a bad thing, it's a good thing". So of course I had to tease him. "hey are you calling me an old fart?!" He just couldn't backtrack fast enough. hehehehehe

Seeing the numbers on the tipout sheet I realized that sometimes it pays to be an 'old fart'.

i've been here long enough to know that i can come here for research...and not ask the same question twice...don't let the member number fool you...i'm more like second or third wave here...had a different name and everything...

Why do some people still have to fight...to get the same opportunities...that are given to others??...

I might be wrong but I regularly visited a stripper website in 2000 (before I even became a dancer!). I THINK it was this one but not sure as it was saved to my "Favorites." The format of the website was completely different of course. Just black and white Topic:Comments style, but I remember seeing Melonie's name a lot, Sapphire and Lexi too...maybe a different site and different people? In case I missed it already, what year did stripperweb begin?
I also remember a different stripper website too. powerstrippers or something. I was about become a paying member when I heard that the site stopped or something and a lot of people got ripped off.
Thank God for the perserverence of stripperweb

I joined back when I was (or so it seemed at the time) the only Australian. Boy did I feel left out some of the time. I'm so glad now that there are other Australians (and even Kiwis) here too

My member number is under the 500 mark.... that's says something. I was posting under "AussieVee" at the time.

I too have learnt ALOT! I also look to here for support and information. It is also nice to know that other people who are located in another country are going thru the same s**t I am too sometimes.

There are alot of things about stripping that crosses borders. Just glad to have more Aussie gals on boad

^^^ Velvet I agree! I used to watch the site and was shy to post.
But soon enough everyone was super nice, and I have enjoyed this website for the longest! It even beat out the fitness sites that I used to be on all the time. lol

I'm fifty-something. I remember the pre-stripperweb days of *cough* other sites, and I remember some of us oldies from those sites.

I don't know if I'm the old fart type tho :-p

Are you kidding? When I saw the link to this site the first thing I did was high-tail it over here and register so nobody would "steal" my name. hehehe

I don't remember the snakes in the woodpile. I wonder where I was or if my memory is that bad. I am glad, however, to see you're back from the dead Bridgette!

The snakes in the woodpile was a phrase JP liked to use to describe people he thought were endlessly conspiring against him in the old days Oh and that whole death thing was just his wet dream LOL
