Well, since I'm not exactly the world's greatest dancer either, I thought I would respond to this post. The first thing you have to understand is that dancing in a strip club is not like any other kind of dancing. In fact, I've seen girls come into the club and dance like they were at a regular club. They quit after a couple of weeks because they weren't making any money. While men admired their dancing abilities, they just weren't attracted to them enough to want a lap dance. When dancing you want to move slower than you would normally. One reason is that dancing on six inch heels for 6-8 hours is hell on your body. The main reason is that most customers find it more sexy. Remember, slow=sexy.

The importance of being a good stage dancer depends on where you will be dancing. In some parts of the country it is very important, in other parts, girls on stage are virtually ignored in favor of lap dances. I know one girl posts on here that she has had formal training in ballet. However, I doubt that there are very many dancers with any kind of formal training. Basically, you just pick it up as you go along.

I noticed your other post asking if you were pretty enough to dance. You definitely have the look. I would suggest you get a male friend to take you to a couple of clubs and let you watch. That will give you an idea of what is involved and let you decide if you will be comfortable with the level of contact that is allowed. Remember, the majority of your money will come from lap dances (table, couch, whatever they call it). If you still think dancing is for you, you can do a search here and pick up some tips for both stage and lap dancing. The main thing is to move seductively and think sexy.

    Good luck.

I think the best way to learn to dance ( in a strip club) is to watch other dancers. Go to a strip club and check out the girls.
Just like Destiny said , it depends on where you will be dancing. IF there are poles you may want to learn pole tricks...in some clubs there is no poles.
You will learn as you go along and try new stuff. There are dance tapes and things you can buy that show what different girls do. Also ...when you start..ask some of the other girls to help you out.
There are courses you can take to...like dancerwealth.com
or there are some different cities that have feature dancer classes and what not...
good luck and keep us posted!!!

I have an extensive dance background and I found it to be very helpful and profitable as an exotic dancer. It gave me an advantage in many clubs and situations.

If you are interested in getting some training to enhance your stripping I would recommend taking belly dance and salsa.
