    Default profitable conventions?

I am going to be able to do some traveling for the remainder of this year. I am just wondering what do you ladies look for in a convention that will make you want to work in that particular city? What do you see as a large convention 10,000 ,15,000 or 30,000? What business area or field would you avoid even if it were a large convention?

    thanks ??? ???

It depends on the city,15,000 is good for New Orleans whereas 30,,000+ is good for Vegas.Just check the convention websites for the cities you are interested in.

Conventions or events nowadays don't seem to make me any more money than working non events.

The most profitable event in Las Vegas is the Consumer Electronics Show in January with over 200,000 attendees. So many girls show up to work that if the guys are not all good spenders and the girls master salespeople, everyone won't make money.

The problem with many events nowadays is that dancers are like vultures and so many are downright hungry to make money since this business is so bad nowadays.

Too many dancers working during events cuts the money down. Many times you have more or as many dancers as customers, so you may make less money than where you normally work plus travel expenses.

If you can find an event to work in a smaller town where there are only maybe 1 or 2 clubs in the area and with not much for guys to do, and those clubs only book x amount of girls to work for the time the event is in town , you could do decently as long as the club turnout is good. Then you also have to look at the fact that motels jack the rates up and no vacancies exist in big cities and small towns making it hard or too expensive for you to stay there relative to the amount of money you would make.

The clubs in small towns where an event is being held may provide free or low cost dancer housing.

Recently not as many older guys are patronizing clubs when they go out of town.

I have not worked one event where I have made more money than in a good week at normal clubs I work at.

The amount of people attending a convention as far as profitability goes just depends on how big the city is and how close the club you work at is to the activities.
