And I'm going to agree with doc-catfish's statement about "ghetto" customers. Personally, I have equal hatred for everyone. Doesn't matter your race...if you're an asshole...then you're an asshole. Wait...am I now an orificeist????

Ok doc I have to agree with you about the distinctions between young and "ghetto" vs simple race. But as a long time dancer I can tell you that most customers don't make that distinction. They see a group of black guys coming in and they automatically get nervous. I see it everyday.

About your first response to my first post about racist customers: That was taken out of context. The reference there was about the customers not wanting to be around a lot of black customers (who get drawn in by large numbers of black dancers).

Just making observations about what I've seen over the years.

White people in this context are most uncomfortable with people of other races least like them.

If two 40+ black men walk in a club the white customers most likely will not become "nervous" as they get when 3-4 twentysomething brothers dressed in hip hop attire walk in. the same with hispanic guys. the young ethnic guys that come in groups scare white men. Why I don't know? They are just there to party like the older white guys, right?

Of course, the problem is with the white men, isn't it? The older white men preach this color blind society crap, but are afraid to patronize a business in an area where they are not the majority.

All I can say to any older white men reading this is stop fearing people different than you. The young black or hispanic guys coming in the club in groups aren't there to hassle you. They could give a damn about you. They are there to have fun just as you are.

so my decision to give up on this pipe dream was a smart one then huh...

since all the customers are racist...as you all are saying...and don't want 'them nigger bitches' in the clubs...
Firstly, no one said the N word Topaz. :o Being that you are black, I guess you can say it and not get flamed but no one here has said it, nor will they. Thats a disgusting word for ANYONE to use...

Anyway, I think you are very negative. I have never seen a happy, or even neutral post from you. No, its not that ALL managers or ALL customers are racist. Thats ignorant to say. And Melonie was not being racist either, she was pointing out what in most cases can be true, or what managers THINK may be true. Just because she relayed the information doesnt make her racist. I hate how that word is thrown around so easily whenever a topic like this comes up. So let me guess, because I defended certain remarks makes me racist? Not a chance...

i never called anyone a racist...and never implyed that anyone was (or is) one...but i get accused of doing just that...

i don't have to imply anything...if i think someone is a racist...i will say so directly...i did not do that...i just stated how i interpret the things being said here...and get accused of calling people racist...

i express my thought and feelings about another's thoughts and get accused of calling people names...well...i guess i won't express myself here anymore...

i noticed that others have used the words racist and racism in their posts here...directing them towards specific people even...yet i'm the one that gets jumped on...oh well...y'all won't get that chance again...

Why do some people still have to fight...to get the same opportunities...that are given to others??...

Look at what I quoted in my previous post! You said that no one wants a N bitch... thats a racist as it comes.
Topaz, no one needs to tell you to continue to posting, or not to. I think you should just adopt a happier attitude. You're always upset, or think that everyone is out to get you because you are black. Hey someone mentioned about hispanics not complaining....and being hispanic myself, I DONT cry about that ever. Sure, I get mad when people talk shit about how "ALL" cubans came on a boat, or how spanish people all talk with a lisp. (Cause I am both, but sorry, none of my family came on a boat and none speak with a lisp)
    I ignore their ignorant asses...

But anyway, I just think that people always take these threads to the extreme. Even when people arent being racist they get called on it.
    Its scary! Sheesh!

Why do you take this so personally as if people are always directing the comments towards you? There are plenty of black dancers on here who give their input and information and dont run off because of a thread like this. ???

Let me rephrase, Sanderson. "Aww did your family come on rowboats or rafts?" shit like that. Its an indirect insult, but I dont cry about it every five minutes. Thats what I am getting at. Or the "cuban national anthem" row row row your boat. :haha: Sure its funny, but its not cute to always get the comment. Not that I really give a shit, Im just making a comparison.

    ha, thats petty good.

in response you should say something to the extent of, "hey, atleast it was our boat. we didn't sneak into the cargo hold of a british liner like your good for nothing drunkin mick ancestors." play around with that one and develop a line, thats all im getting at this moment.

I know alot of threads have touched on this subject but I wanted to bring to everyones attention the injustic of there not being alot of black dancers in upscale clubs. Now I am not black but do have black girlfriends and I noticed alot of very beautiful black dancers recently get turned down at auditions at my club recently. I think black women are very beautiful. Infact I think most women of color are usually more beautful than white women (expecialy mullato women but that is just my prefference) If I were a man quite frankly I would be pissed at the lack of black women in my club and lack of women of color generally in upscale gentlemen's clubs. I know everyone says that upscale gentlemen don't like women of color that much but it really upsets me when the tell a sexy black dancer that we are full of dancers and then the next day hire a white dancer that was half as pretty and half as charming. Why is this going on in 2004?
Lilac666 thankyou for starting this thread

I've seen the same thing in my relatively small-time club. I've seen quite a few black dancers get hired only to last a few weeks a month tops in my main club.
You are so true about this. There's a lot of top ten black women at scores within the last 2 weeks but I know it's a matter of time before they start to clean.

It is extremely unfair. I work in a couple of upscale clubs and there are many men who like dancers of different ethnicities. And shame on club management for not taking heed to that fact.
In order for management to take heed to that fact, or any other fact period it would require them to pull their heads out of their asses, coke pile, some whores twat etc and actually give a flying fuck about what goes on in the clubs as opposed to how much money they bank, dancers they bang or coke they snort on a weekly basis
Tina I completely agree with you 100%
If variety is marketed properly, this business wouldn't be declining as badly as it is.
Sitara if you're reading this, now I hope you understand the reason why I didn't like the fact that you have girls removed from tables because this is what the host would do to black dancers no matter how beautifull they were mainly because of the color of their skin and other times because they don't do extras.

I agree with this totally, however I have seen my share of white guys get "nervous" or "agitated" when older black guys walk in too. I would add that alot of the young white guys react the same as the older ones when a group of ethnic guys enters the room. The worst example I have seen is a young white customer once kicked me in the shin because I had just done a dance for a black guy and then approached him after. I had barely walked up to the guy and he started spewing venomously to get away from him "you n----- lovin whore", then he kicked me. I also see white guys ALL the time who are checking me out big time as I'm working in their direction, and if a black guy (sometimes latinos too) stops me for a dance first the white guys won't even look at me after. Or they give me a REALLY cold shoulder when I approach after leaving an ethnic guy. It disgusts me but there is nothing I can do about it. You can talk til you're blue in the face to a racist and they will NEVER hear a word you say.

I think it's retarded that any guy can't just go in and enjoy himself without worrying about who's sitting at the next table.

This research is perplexing to me because I would consider myself a "woman of color" I guess but I dance for 80% white men a night. I would consider myself a dancer that makes very consistant money. So what gives?
^^^^^nk that is full of shit...and i dont even want to reply in thought to that because it will ruin my night...
but anyway its mostly like that with ethnic woman...the majority of my customers are white...and to be quite frank with you ive gotten asked plenty of times in a variety of diffrent upscale clubs...why is there only a few ethnic ladies....and all i can say...and not to be rude...is that "we are overpowered" now keep in mind its not the dancers falt...but i know one thing in the upscale clubs in vegas you have a shit load of ethnic ladies..and for a money marketing stragey the variety of different races of dancers in SF and Vegas is kickin ass !!
A club owner told me once that "as an employer, the government can order you to hire a certain percentage of blacks & hispanics. But nobody can order customers to do the same thing. It doesn't do any good to bring in more black dancers if my customers aren't going to buy as many private dances from them, and if my customers then wind up standing in line waiting to buy dances from the remaining white girls."
i dont know what ass hole told you that but obviously he dosent have to good of money marketing skill...

I noticed that on the west coast, but not here. I work in a very upscale gent's club and we have quite a few beautiful black dancers.
I also notice that they get most of their dances from white customers.
Being that this is an industry of fantasy, a lot of white, middle - upper class customers love the black dancers because being with a black woman is a fantasy to them - one which they could not live out outside of the safety of a club.
    very tru sweety
and to be even more honest on this topic...whilw people are more concerned at "booty shaking" why dont you look around at the clubs you work at and have been to...i see more WHITE and ASIAN girls at all the clubs in sf and vegas trying to "BOOTY SHAKE" than i do black girls period....
    Well said Sparkell

Onlythebest - do you think you're better than blacks? that you have to put them in their class so you come out smelling like a rose?

Big Green MnM - you are definately a racist!!!... if you were at the bar and you rut ro... I'll be the first one to pop you.........

Melonie - I've agreed with a few of your replys in other threads but in this thread I'll have to say you come across as a racist! you've sound like you've been in the business for quite some time and dance all over, however you made sense with your reply to StripperTips.
Topaz - don't be discourage... your profile picture is beautiful and if the front of you is like that, I'll say knock them dead and laugh all the way to the bank $$$.
Sander8son - what's with the boats immigrant comments? The best thing I love about America is meeting people from all over the world without having to fly to other countries even thou I've had quite a bit of traveling.
    Doc-catfish - you made a good point.
Bridget - I've worked both scores & vvvvip clubs & both got shoot-up while working there and the guys were white. I've also seen many fights with customers and none of them were black. So why would customers get nervous when black in the club? The drug dealers are also non-blacks but are welcome because they drop big bucks on expensive champage. Do you think it would be the same if they were black? I'm sorry to hear about the unfortunate kick in the chin from the racist white trash... where do you work? what state? I've only worked in nyc/manhattan upscale clubs so I'm not familiar with other states clientel.
Wow! Ladysummer & Brendalee - I hahad no idea things are that bad outside NY, where do you work?
Nina - you're well educated and you're about what you say.
    DestinyDevine - oh so true.....

I must say Scores East & West is the most fair when hiring a variety staff of all ethnic backgrounds ( dancers, bouncers, champagne host, bartenders, massage girls, shot girls, waitresses, bar backs, make-up artist, house moms, Dj's, ect ) blacks, whites, hispanic, asians, etc . They have the most beautifull black dancers and yes they do appear on the calendars, website and the face of the funny money. The black Dj at Penthouse use to work at scores a while back. However the case is, there's always politics and some haters racist mother fuckers and soon there's a house cleaning if there's too much. I always smell it learking around even a mile away.

If three or four twentysomething guys (any race) in hip-hop attire strollll-in, all pimp-talkin', and whatnot.. They can be perceived as being there to be rude, obnoxious assholes the greatest majority of the time.

The reason why the 40+ crew gets uncomfortable is because they rarely are in the condition to do anything about it, which challenges a certain degree of cowardice- which is not something a older guy wants to have to deal with when he's out for a night of entertainment. If one of those rap-star wannabee's cops a free feel or makes a generationally misunderstood comment in front of the older gentleman, his inaction doesn't make him feel good.. even though it's the smartest thing he can do. This is the discomfort you see.

If they behave themselves, there is never an issue. Unfortunately, even behaving themselves is often times looked at as disrespectful to the guys who aren't familiar with the lingo. Hell, the first time a "hip-hopper" said "Dude, yer pimp!" to me, I was ... a bit disgruntled.. no clue it was some sort of honorable title by their ideology.

This is all pretty off-topic though from the original thread premise... concerning beautiful women of color in the stripclubs. I'm happy to say there is fantastic black-woman representation in the SF stripclubs, but of a discouragingly low quantity. By representation, I mean they employee women of color from 5-10 in beauty scale, so at least they aren't limited to just the "10's" like other regions. The clubs (any scale) usually only have two to five black women with 4-5x that of other races. This definately isn't to proportion with the racial makeup of the region nor the customer base.

    Sitara-
I loved reading your story! It almost always does come down to one prick manager that has some sort of bias. I'm glad you went around him.

It doesn't make any sense though really! I mean, if a dancer isn't able to make payouts, then she'll quit or be fired soon after being hired. It seems kind of dumb to not give a motivated, beautiful and professional appearing dancer the *chance* to prove herself.
It doesn't matter if you're somebody in this world, it rather matters you mean the whole world to somebody.

clubs are a business and not a social charity. If the club is in a locale where it was prudent to hire black dancers because of demand, they would do it. If not, well then, they wont. Thats just the way it is.
