Default Known on Taxes- newbie here!

    Good Evening!!

I have a question for anyone. I want to begin Stripping but I would not want my parents to know.

Unfortunately, my dad does all of my taxes. My question is this- if I were to strip at a club would I be officially employed by them and would the government be aware of my earnings? Or would I simply be able to work and make money without being officially recognized?

Thanks a lot if anyone can help me!

There is always a chance that, no matter how your club handles dancer earnings, the IRS can become aware that you have income which has not been reported on your tax return. If your club issues W2 or 1099 reports of earnings, the IRS will be directly informed. If you deposit large amounts of money in a bank account, investment account etc. the IRS may also be directly informed. If you buy a house/condo or sign a lease on an apartment with a real estate corporation, the IRS may be indirectly informed. Same thing is true if you buy and register a car, or make a big ticket purchase at certain retailers. With today's technology, it's every bit as likely that the IRS will discover that you're saving/spending money which you haven't reported as earnings as it is that the IRS will be directly informed of those earnings by an "employer".

Definitely read the "Depositing Money" thread further down on this forum !

    xO,
Your concern is not just what the IRS will know this year but what they will know eventually. If your dad falls bad info this year YOU are on the hook for those taxes for years. The IRS could also hit your dad for filing a bad return. Then they take out the microscope and go over his return.

I would advise any person over 18 to be responsible for their own return and its preparation. It is part of growing up and standing on your own two feet.

Yeah, just do your own taxes. Otherwise you'll have a bitch of a time trying to explain your deductions!
