    Default Has anyone tried this?

I've heard ads all over the radio for this new thing at tanning salons. Some advertise it as a 6 second tan. You go in, get buck naked, put a shower cap on and it will spray you with a tanner and you can decide what shade you want. I hope you know what I'm talking about.

Anywho, I wanted to know whether anyone has tried this. How long does the color last for? Does it dry quickly? Does it come out evenly? Cost? ???

I am very pale and have many birthmarks so that right there is a reason why I dont go to tanning booths. Its so damaging to your skin in the long-run. I have tried bronzers and self tanners but they are mostly just a pain in the rear so I'm wondering whether this is more convenient.

    Feed back is expected LOL!!

you're basically talking about the airbrush tan or spray tan aka mystic. We've had lots and lots of threads on mystic and airbrush also another brand of spray tan I can't recall the name.

I use Mystic and I spend the extra $5 to upgrade to level III. I love it especially for my face and neck.

When you use the search function, make sure to pay attention for how far back you want to search. If you search within the last 6 months you'll get a ton of spray tan info. Longer than that and you'll get even more.

edited to add you mentioned you are very pale you would not want to go with a level III like I do it would probably turn you orange. Some girls say spray tan turns them orange but I've never had that problem.

the color lasts about a week. It dries very quickly you get out of the stall after being sprayed and you immediately towel off as if you got out of the shower. The color comes out evenly for me you must exfoliate before your treatment also you must moisterize but it cannot have oil or aloe in it they say. Cost varies I pay $15 a month at my tanning place and I get half off all tans. Depending on where you are expect to pay about $25 per tan. Many places will offer some kind of package whether it's buy 1 get 1 free, buy 2 get 3 free or whatever.

Have you ever considered using one of the UVA beds? I also have super pale skin. I used to do the mystic tan as well. The UVA beds are way more expensive, but it's definately worth it. Most tanning salons just have the beds with the UVA and UVB rays. The one that I use only has .01% UVB and 99% UVA. It's much better for your skin.
Just ask the tanning salon people if they would recommend it for your skin.
You can also go to a dermatologist to get some of your old sun damage removed. I had a lot of sun damage too from when I was in my teens and early twenties.
